Radiant is a 2018 Japanese anime series based on French author Tony Valente's French comic book series of the same name, which is published in Japan by Asukashinsha. [1] It follows the main protagonist, Seth, as he looks for the legendary Radiant in order to defeat creatures called Nemesis. The series is directed by Seiji Kishi and Daisei Fukuoka, and written by Makoto Uezu, with animation by studio Lerche. [1] [2] Character designs for the series are produced by Nozomi Kawano, and Masato Koda is composing the series' music. [3]

Contents

The 21-episode anime series aired on NHK Educational TV from October 6, 2018 to February 23, 2019. [3] [4] It is based on volumes 1 through 4 of the manfra. The series is simulcast by Crunchyroll, [5] with Funimation producing an English dub as it aired. [6]

In the season finale, a 21-episode second season was announced. [7] It premiered on October 2, 2019. [8]

The series received a French dub which first aired on Game One in France on September 2, 2019. [9]

Funimation's English dub of Radiant began airing on ABC Me in Australia starting on January 2, 2021. [10]

Radiant is a French comic book series written and illustrated by Tony Valente. It has been published by Ankama since 2013 and has 19 volumes released in French as of November 2024. It was later published by the Japanese publisher Euromanga and Asukashinsha in 2015, making it the first manfra to be published in Japan. The series has been licensed by Viz Media in English since 2018 and has 18 volumes released. The series received an anime television series adaptation by Lerche that aired on NHK Educational TV from October 2018 to February 2019, followed by a second season aired from October 2019 to February 2020.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is a Japanese anime television series based on Koyoharu Gotouge's manga series of the same name. The second season adapts from the 7th volume to the 11th volume of the manga and ran for two continuous cours. The first part, titled Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Mugen Train Arc, is a seven-episode recompilation of the "Mugen Train" arc as featured in the 2020 anime film. It contains new music and an all new anime original episode which takes place immediately before the main story. The first part aired from October 10 to November 28, 2021.
