Radiant is a French comic book series written and illustrated by Tony Valente. It has been published by Ankama since 2013 and has 18 volumes released in French as of December 2023. It was later published by the Japanese publisher Euromanga and Asukashinsha in 2015, making it the first manfra to be published in Japan. The series has been licensed by Viz Media in English since 2018 and has 17 volumes released. The series received an anime television series adaptation by Lerche that aired on NHK Educational TV from October 2018 to February 2019, followed by a second season aired from October 2019 to February 2020.
In the world of "El Pharenos", a race of powerful monsters called Nemeses fall from the sky. This race infects every living thing they touch. Any humans who survive their contact become cursed, but also gain the ability to wield the magic power known as "Fantasia", thus becoming Sorcerers. Some Sorcerers use their powers for their own gain while others choose to become heroes and protect normal humans from the Nemeses. But whether good or evil, all Sorcerers are mostly treated with fear and contempt by the common folk. There is also an organization known as the Inquisition, which is dedicated to the eradication of Sorcerers.
The series follows Seth, a seventeen-year-old boy who has survived a Nemesis attack. He dreams of defeating all of the Nemeses and bringing peace between Sorcerers and the rest of humanity. To do so, he has to find the place where the Nemeses come from, the legendary Radiant, and destroy it. He and other sorcerers travel the region in search of Radiant whilst avoiding the Inquisition.
The Inquisition is based in Bome, the capital of the Estrie Kingdoms, which includes Convictis. Their flagship is the Battle Airship Uranos.
The Baron Merchants are natives of the Pontanian States, known to be business savvy and are technological innovators. They planned to enslave the infected people of Cyfandir.
The series is written and illustrated by French author Tony Valente. He began the publication of Radiant on Ankama Éditions in July 2013 and currently has 18 volumes released. According to an interview that he made in Just Focus at April 2014, Tony says that his inspirations to create Radiant were Fairy Tail , Naruto , and One Piece . [10] It has been published by Viz Media in English since 2018. [11]
The series is published in Japan by Asukashinsha. [12] Additional languages it has been published in are Spanish by LetraBlanka since 2016, [13] German by Pyramond since 2016, [14] Italian by Mangasenpai since 2017, [15] Serbian by Najkula since 2022 [16] and Swedish by Cobolt Förlag since 2022. NHK announced the series on January 31, 2018. [18] The series was directed by Seiji Kishi and Daisei Fukuoka, and written by Makoto Uezu, with animation done in RETAS software by Nerima-based studio Lerche. [18] [19] Character designs for the series were produced by Nozomi Kawano, while Masato Koda composed the series' music. [2] The opening theme is "Utopia" by 04 Limited Sazabys, [5] while the ending theme is "Radiant" by Polkadot Stingray. [20]
The 21-episode anime series aired on NHK Educational TV from October 6, 2018, to February 23, 2019. [2] [5] It is based on volumes 1 through 4 of the comic. The series is simulcast by Crunchyroll, [21] with Funimation producing an English dub as it aired. [22]
In the season finale, a 21-episode second season has been announced. [23] It premiered on October 2, 2019. [8] The opening theme is "Naraku" by Halo at Yojohan, while the ending theme is "Chitto mo Shiranakatta" by Emi Nakamura. [7]
The series received a French dub, which first aired on Game One in France on September 2, 2019. [24]
The anime began airing on ABC Me in Australia on January 2, 2021. [25]

The Cat Returns is a 2002 Japanese anime fantasy film directed by Hiroyuki Morita from a screenplay by Reiko Yoshida, based on the 2002 manga series of the same name by Aoi Hiiragi. Dorohedoro tells the story of the amnesiac reptilian-headed Caiman, working together with his friend Nikaido to recover his memories and survive in a strange and violent world.
Hige Danshaku is a manzai duo whose theme is that of a French-born Japanese nobleman and his butler (Higuchi-kun). The group are signed as talent of the Sun Music Productions entertainment company. In addition to their comedy careers, they also act. After both voiced main characters in the anime series Tentai Senshi Sunred, Yamada LIII began appearing in a regular role in the tokusatsu series Tensou Sentai Goseiger. Higuchi-kun will appear as an announcer in the Goseiger film Epic on the Movie. The duo also serves as spokesmen for Sumitomo Realty & Development.
Ping Pong is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Taiyō Matsumoto about table tennis. It was serialized in Shogakukan's seinen manga magazine Big Comic Spirits from 1996 to 1997 and collected in five tankōbon volumes. The story follows high schoolers and childhood friends Peco and Smile, as they compete in the national table tennis tournament where they face talented players from all over the country.
Gangsta is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Kohske. It has been published in Shinchosha's Monthly Comic @BUNCH magazine since March 2011. The series has inspired a spin-off manga, an audio drama series, an anime television series, and an original novel. The anime series was the last to be produced by animation studio Manglobe before its bankruptcy.
Cheer Boys!! is a Japanese novel written by Ryō Asai, first published on October 5, 2010, by Shueisha. It follows the members of a university's all-male cheerleading squad. The novel is loosely based on the real-life men's cheerleading team "Shockers" from Waseda University. The series was also adapted as a manga by Kenichi Kondō for the Shōnen Jump+ app starting on April 5, 2016. An anime adaptation started airing on July 5, 2016. It is directed by Ai Yoshimura and written by Reiko Yoshida for the studio Brain's Base. A live action film directed by Hiroki Kazama is slated to open in early 2019.
RErideD: Derrida, who leaps through time is a Japanese anime television series by director Takuya Satō and illustrator Yoshitoshi Abe. The series aired in Japan from October 3 to December 19, 2018.
Infinite Dendrogram is a Japanese light novel series written by Sakon Kaidō and illustrated by Taiki. It began serialization online in 2015 on the user-generated novel publishing website Shōsetsuka ni Narō. It was acquired by Hobby Japan, who published the first light novel volume in November 2016 under their HJ Bunko imprint. Twenty-one volumes have been released as of September 2023. A manga adaptation with art by Kami Imai has been serialized via Hobby Japan's Comic Fire website since December 2016. It has been collected in twelve tankōbon volumes. Both the light novel and manga have been licensed in North America by J-Novel Club. An anime television series adaptation by NAZ aired from January to April 2020.

One Piece: Baron Omatsuri and the Secret Island is 2005 anime film directed by Mamoru Hosoda and produced by Toei Animation. It is the sixth animated feature film of the One Piece film series, based on the manga of the same name written and illustrated by Eiichiro Oda. It premiered in Japan on March 5, 2005, and was released to DVD on July 21, 2005.
Sleepy Princess in the Demon Castle is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Kagiji Kumanomata. It has been serialized in Shogakukan's shōnen manga magazine Weekly Shōnen Sunday magazine since May 2016, with its chapters collected in twenty-six tankōbon volumes as of November 2023. An anime television series adaptation produced by Doga Kobo aired from October to December 2020.
2.43: Seiin High School Boys Volleyball Team is a Japanese volleyball light novel series written by Yukako Kabei and illustrated by Aiji Yamakawa. Maesetsu!: Opening Act (まえせつ!) is an original Japanese anime television series co-animated by Studio Gokumi and AXsiZ. The series aired from October to December 2020, while a manga adaptation by Hato Kannazuki was serialized from July 2020 to May 2021 in Monthly Comic Alive.
Moriarty the Patriot is a Japanese mystery manga series with storyboards by Ryosuke Takeuchi and illustrated by Hikaru Miyoshi, based on Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes series. It focuses on Holmes' nemesis, William James Moriarty. It has been serialized in Shueisha's shōnen manga magazine Jump Square since August 2016, with its chapters collected in 19 tankōbon volumes as of February 2023. An anime television series adaptation produced by Production I.G aired from October 2020 to June 2021. In March 2023, a manga adaptation of the novel adaptations by Yōsuke Saita, titled Moriarty the Patriot: The Remains, began serialization in Jump Square.
By the Grace of the Gods is a Japanese light novel series written by Roy and illustrated by Ririnra. It is about a man who is chosen by three gods to be reincarnated into a fantasy world after living a sad life, using his past knowledge combined with new powers bestowed to him by said gods to help others and live a bountiful life. It began serialization online in January 2014 on the user-generated novel publishing website Shōsetsuka ni Narō, with a revised version began serialization since September 2015.
