Harris Jayaraj is an Indian composer from Chennai, Tamil Nadu. He composes soundtracks predominantly for Tamil films, while also having composed for a few films in Telugu and two films in Hindi.
Nayanthara is an Indian actress who predominantly appears in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam films. One of the highest-paid actresses in India, she was the only South Indian actress to be featured in the Forbes India "Celebrity 100" list of 2018. She has acted in more than 75 films in a career spanning over two decades and has won numerous awards, including five Filmfare Awards South, one Tamil Nadu State Film Award and a Andra Pradesh State Nandi Film Award.
Amar Choudary, known professionally as Jiiva, is an Indian actor and film producer who works mainly in Tamil cinema and a few Hindi and Malayalam films. He is the youngest son of film producer R. B. Choudary. He began his career as a child actor in 1991 in films produced by his father. He made his debut as a lead actor in his father's 50th production, Aasai Aasaiyai (2003). After Sivaji Ganesan, Jiiva is the only Tamil actor to have been awarded at the Cyprus International Film Festival, particularly for his performance in Raam (2005).
Asin Thottumkal, known mononymously as Asin, is an Indian former actress who appeared predominantly in Tamil, Hindi and Telugu films. She is a trained Bharatanatyam dancer. She has received three Filmfare Awards. She began her acting career in the South Indian film industry, but later shifted her focus to Bollywood. She speaks eight languages.
Dasavathaaram is a 2008 Indian Tamil-language science fiction action-thriller film directed by K. S. Ravikumar. It stars Kamal Haasan, who also wrote the script, in ten distinct roles, along with Asin, Jaya Prada, Mallika Sherawat, K. R. Vijaya, Rekha, Nagesh, P. Vasu, Raghuram, Napoleon and M. S. Bhaskar in subsidiary roles. The film focuses on scientist Govind, who's forced to steal a vial containing a deadly virus from his corrupt boss who intended to sell it to a terrorist nation, all the while he's hunted by an American mercenary named Christian Fletcher, an Indian police inspector named Balram Naidu and a set of dark events. Several other people also get involved in the process and all their stories connect after the striking of 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake and tsunami, thus bringing philosophical views into the picture.
Kaadhal Mannan is a 1998 Indian Tamil-language romantic drama film written and directed by Saran. The film stars Ajith Kumar and newcomer Maanu in the lead roles. It also saw veteran music composer M. S. Viswanathan make his debut in a supporting role, whilst Vivek, Karan and Girish Karnad also played other roles.

Mozhi (transl. Language) is a 2007 Indian Tamil language musical romantic comedy film written and directed by Radha Mohan and produced by Prakash Raj. The film stars Prithviraj Sukumaran, Jyothika, Prakash Raj, and Swarnamalya. The film's plot is about Karthik (Prithviraj), who works as a musician in films. He falls in love with a deaf and mute girl, Archana (Jyothika), but she considers him as her friend and disapproves of his love. The rest of the story revolves around Archana accepting Karthik's love.
Andrea Maria Jeremiah is an Indian playback singer and actress who works predominantly in Tamil films apart from a few Telugu and Malayalam language films. She made her playback singing debut with "Kannum Kannum Nokia" in the Tamil film Anniyan, with music composed by Harris Jayaraj. She made her acting debut in the Tamil film Pachaikili Muthucharam (2007), with R. Sarathkumar and Jyothika and Malayalam debut with Annayum Rasoolum (2013) with Fahadh Faasil.

Vishal Krishna Reddy, professionally known as Vishal, is an Indian actor and producer who works in Tamil films. Born to film producer G. K. Reddy, Vishal is known for his roles in action films. He also produces films under his production company, Vishal Film Factory. Vishal was conferred with the Kalaimamani award in 2006, for his contributions to Tamil cinema.
Senthamizhan Seeman is an Indian politician, filmmaker and the chief-coordinator of the political party Naam Tamilar Katchi in Tamil Nadu. He is an advocate of the creation of vote bank for Tamils.
Udhayanidhi Stalin is an Indian film producer, politician and former actor who prominently worked in Tamil cinema. He was appointed as Minister for Youth Welfare and Sports Development, Special act implementation Department of Tamil Nadu in the ministry by his father the chief minister of Tamil Nadu, M. K. Stalin in December 2022. He is a member of the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly, representing the Chepauk-Thiruvallikeni Assembly constituency.
Velayudham is a 2011 Indian Tamil-language superhero film directed by Mohan Raja and produced by V. Ravichandran under Aascar Film. It stars Vijay in titular role with Hansika and Genelia D'Souza, Santhanam, Saranya Mohan, Soori, Abhimanyu Singh, Vineet Kumar in other prominent roles. The music was composed by Vijay Antony with cinematography by Priyan and editing by B. Lenin and V. T. Vijayan. The film was inspired from 2000 Telugu film Azad and also marks Genelia's last Tamil film till date.
Gurushetram – 24 Hours of Anger is a 2010 Singaporean Tamil crime thriller film directed by T. T. Dhavamanni. Written by Dhavamani Chong Tze Chien, the film stars Vishnu, Sivakumar, Mathialagan, Rajesh Kannan, Gunalan in the lead roles. The film, produced by Blue River Pictures in collaboration with the Singapore Film Commission, is considered the first full-length Tamil film produced entirely in Singapore.
Amala Paul is an Indian actress and producer who predominantly appears in Tamil, Malayalam and Telugu films. She made her acting debut in the Malayalam film Neelathamara (2009). She won the Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Actress for playing the title role in Mynaa (2010).
Engaeyum Eppothum is a 2011 Indian Tamil-language romantic comedy drama road film written and directed by M. Saravanan in his Tamil debut, he had earlier directed the Telugu film Ganesh (2009). Starring Jai, Sharwanand, Anjali and Ananya, it was produced by A. R. Murugadoss in association with Fox Star Studios, marking the studio's entry into Tamil cinema.
