They received positive reviews; Demi called them stars and their mentor Cowell called the performance "magic". [16] Cowell selected them as one of the three groups to enter the top 12.

For Motown night, they sang "You Keep Me Hanging On", receiving positive reviews from all the judges. [17] Much to Cowell's shock, as well as the crowd's, Sweet Suspense was eliminated after receiving the lowest public vote on November 14, 2013, finishing in 12th place.

They later signed to Jason Derulo's record label, Future History Records, being the first artist to sign. It was announced at the TCA's red carpet when Sweet Suspense and Jason Derulo were interviewed.

On December 2, 2014 the group released their first original single, the holiday song "Just Another Night," on iTunes, followed by "Here We Go Again" on February 24, 2015.

On Thursday, June 11, it was announced that Celine Polenghi had left the group and would be replaced by The Voice Season 7 finalist Bryana Salaz. However, in September it was announced that Bryana had left the group to pursue a career in TV.

On October 28, it was announced the group had gone their separate ways in order to pursue solo careers.

In 2016, it was confirmed that Polenghi, Reign and Salaz formed their own group called SNRG, though in May, Salaz confirmed her departure from the group.

Millie Thrasher of the group has unfollowed Celine, Bryana, and Summer on Twitter. Celine, Summer, and Bryana are still friends, despite Bryana replacing Celine.
