Cherry Pie Picache is a Filipino screen and stage actress. In her three decade long career, she has been recognized with numerous awards and nominations from international and local award-giving bodies for her work in film, television and stage. Regarded as one of her generation's most awarded actresses, [1] Picache has won two Durban International Film Festival Awards, an Osian's Cinefan Festival of Asian and Arab Cinema Awards, two Asian Television Awards, three Gawad Urian Awards, two Metro Manila Film Festival Awards, and a Luna Award.

Picache has received international acclaim and recognition for her acting performances in film and television. In 1998, her role in GMA Telesine 's "Melinda" earned Picache her first Asian Television Award for Best Supporting Drama Actress. Her portrayal in a Maalaala Mo Kaya 's "Aklat" episode earned Picache her second Asian Television Award trophy for Best Drama Actress. She won Best Actress for two consecutive years at the Durban International Film Festival in South Africa for her leading roles in Kaleldo (2007) and Foster Child (2008). Also in 2007, Picache received another Best Actress win at the Osian's Cinefan Festival of Asian and Arab Cinema in India for her portrayal in Brilliante Mendoza's Foster Child . In 2017, she received a Best Supporting Actress nomination at the ASEAN International Film Festival and Awards for her role in Pauwi Na (2016).

The Gawad Urian Awards are annual film awards in the Philippines presented since 1977 by the Manunuri ng Pelikulang Pilipino, a film critic organization composed of critics, writers, and scholars. It is the regarded as the highest award for a film given by critics in the Philippines and is seen as the counterpart of the United States' New York Film Critics Circle.

Allen Dizon, is a Filipino actor, model and producer. A former member of the Viva Hot Men, Dizon has transitioned from his early years in daring roles to become an independent film actor and producer.

Pedicab is a 2016 Philippine social realist drama film directed by Paolo Villaluna and produced by Ellen Ramos. The tandem of Villaluna-Ramos also co-wrote and co-edited the film. It was selected in the main competition of the 20th Shanghai International Film Festival where it won the Golden Goblet for Best in Feature Film. Its win makes Pedicab only the 4th full-feature film in the history of Philippine cinema to ever win the top prize in an A-list international film festival. It has an ensemble cast led by Philippine icons Bembol Roco and Cherry Pie Picache.
