Asha Kutty Nair, known by the stage name Revathi , is an Indian actress and film director, known for her works predominantly in Tamil and Malayalam cinema. [1] She has won several accolades, including three National Film Awards in three different categories, and six Filmfare Awards South. [2] Revathi is a trained Bharatanatyam dancer, having studied since the age of seven and performed her arangetram in Chennai in 1979. [3] Apart from films, Revathi has been involved in a variety of social organisations, the most notable being the Banyan, Ability foundation, Tanker foundation and Vidyasagar, and has also served as a member of several film festivals including the Chennai International Film Festival and the International Film Festival of India. <i>Ankuram</i> 1993 Indian film

Ankuram (transl. Seeding) is a 1993 Telugu-language drama film written and directed by C. Umamaheswara Rao. It stars Revathi, Sarath Babu and Om Puri. The film is about an inspiring journey of a middle-class woman to return an abandoned child to his father. Ankuram runs, in the background, issues like social stigmas, feudalism, naxalism, bureaucracy and human rights. The film was premiered at the 1993 International Film Festival of India in the mainstream section.

Shamlee, also known as Baby Shamili/Shamlee,, is an Indian actress who has worked in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam films. Her roles include the mentally challenged child Anjali in the 1990 film Anjali, for which she won the National Film Award for Best Child Artist, and a child trapped inside a bore-well in the film Malootty, which won her a Kerala State Film Award for Best Child Artist. Nandanam is a 2002 Indian Malayalam-language romantic film written, co-produced, and directed by Ranjith. Starring Navya Nair and Prithviraj Sukumaran with Kaviyoor Ponnamma, Revathi, Aravind Akash, Siddique and Sai Kumar in supporting roles. K. J. Yesudas and Sudheesh makes Cameo Appearance. The film won four Kerala State Film Awards and two Filmfare Awards South. The film also marks the debut for Prithiviraj Sukumaran.
