The 60th Filmfare Awards South ceremony honouring the winners and nominees of the best of South Indian cinema in 2012 is an event that held on 20 July 2013 at the Hyderabad International Convention Center. The Black lady was unveiled by actress Tamannaah Bhatia at a press meet held in Chennai, on 20 June 2013. [1] [2] The awards were announced and distributed at Hyderabad on 20 July 2013. [3] Sundeep Kishan and Chinmayi Sripaada were the honorable anchors of the show with Chinamyi hosting the filmfare the second time.

Filmfare Awards South is the South Indian segment of the annual Filmfare Awards. They are presented by Filmfare magazine to honour artistic and technical excellence in the Indian film industry encompassing four languages: Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada. When it was introduced in 1954, the Filmfare Awards initially only recognized achievements in the Hindi film industry. In 1964 the awards were extended to Tamil, Telugu, Bengali and Marathi languages. Malayalam cinema was included in the awards in 1967 and Kannada cinema followed in 1970.

Tamannaah Bhatia is an Indian actress known for her work in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi films. Her first role came in 2005 at the age of 15 with Chand Sa Roshan Chehra in Hindi. The same year she made her Telugu film debut with Sree, and the following year she made her Tamil debut with Kedi. None of these films were profitable ventures. In 2007, Tamannaah achieved her first success in Telugu and Tamil cinema with Happy Days and Kalloori respectively. Her portrayal of a college student in both films received critical acclaim, with the latter earning her a nomination in the Best Actress – Tamil category at the 55th Filmfare Awards South ceremony. Tamannaah's performances in Konchem Ishtam Konchem Kashtam and Kanden Kadhalai earned her nominations in the Best Actress – Telugu and Best Actress – Tamil categories at the 57th Filmfare Awards South ceremony. A series of commercially successful films helped her establish a career in Tamil cinema.
