Sundeep Kishan (born 7 May 1987) is an Indian actor and producer who has worked in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi films.
Sundeep Kishan was born in a Telugu family in Madras (present-day Chennai). [2] He is the nephew to the cinematographers Chota K. Naidu and Shyam K. Naidu. [3] He moved to Hyderabad in 2008 to pursue a career in films. [3]
Kishan worked as assistant director to Gautham Vasudev Menon for a year, before starring in Sneha Geetham (2010). [4]
After working with him in Prasthanam (2010), director Deva Katta referred Kishan to his friends Raj Nidimoru and Krishna D.K., which led to Kishan's casting in his first Hindi venture, Shor in the City (2011). [5] [6]
Sundeep Kishan may have started his Southern film career with adult comedy Yaaruda Mahesh (2013), but the actor says that he has resolved not to venture into such genres any more despite it being the order of the day in Tamil cinema and even though he has been approached for a sequel to the film. [7]
His major break came with Venkatadri Express (2013). [8] The comedy entertainer became a superhit at the box office. Then after a string of failures his Tamil film Maanagaram (2017) directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj became success and won him accolades as an actor too. He turned into producer too with Ninu Veedani Needanu Nene (2019), A1 Express (2021) which fared decently at the box office. [9]
He delivered his OTT debut with the web series The Family Man (2019) and his performance in the spy thriller was widely appreciated. [10] Later, he starred in the Telugu action thriller Michael (2023). [11]
In 2024, Ooru Peru Bhairavakona has received mixed reviews and was praised for Sundeep Kishan's acting. [12] He collaborated with Dhanush in Captain Miller and Raayan . [13] [14]
Kishan owns a restaurant chain in Hyderabad named Vivaha Bhojanambhu. He started a salon Express Unisex in Vijayawada. [15]

Gautham Vasudev Menon is an Indian film director, screenwriter, film producer and actor who predominantly works in Tamil film industry. He has also directed Telugu and Hindi films that were either simultaneously shot with or remakes of his own Tamil films. He has won two National Film Awards, three Nandi Awards and one Tamil Nadu State Film Award.
Maanagaram (transl. Metropolis) is a 2017 Indian Tamil-language action thriller film co-written and directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, and produced by S. R. Prabhu. The film stars Sri, Sundeep Kishan, and Regina Cassandra, and its soundtrack was composed by Javed Riaz. It is the feature directorial debut of Lokesh Kanagaraj. The film was released on 10 March 2017 to positive reviews from critics. It was remade in Hindi as Mumbaikar (2023).

Naragasooran (transl. Narakasura) is an unreleased Indian Tamil-language supernatural thriller film written and directed by Karthick Naren. Kaithi (transl. Prisoner) is a 2019 Indian Tamil-language action thriller film directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, who co-wrote it with Pon Parthiban, and produced by S. R. Prakash Babu and S. R. Prabhu under Dream Warrior Pictures and co-produced by Tiruppur Vivek under Vivekananda Pictures. It stars Karthi, alongside Narain, Arjun Das, Harish Uthaman, George Maryan and Dheena. It is the first instalment in Lokesh Cinematic Universe. In the film, Dilli, a recently released prisoner races-against-time to drive poisoned cops to a hospital while evading criminals in exchange for meeting his daughter Amudha.
Lokesh Kanagaraj is an Indian film director, screenwriter and producer who works in Tamil cinema. He started his career with a short film in the 2016 anthology Aviyal, he later directed his first feature film Maanagaram (2017). He created the Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU) franchise after the commercial success of Kaithi (2019), the franchise's first installment. He directed Master (2021), a standalone film featuring Vijay. This was followed by Vikram (2022), the second installment in the LCU with Kamal Haasan in the lead role.
