Birgunj is the fifth most populated metropolis of the nation.

Hetauda Metropolitan City in Bagmati Province, Nepal

Hetauda is a sub-metropolitan city in the Makwanpur District of Bagmati Province in central Nepal. It is the administrative headquarters of the Makwanpur District and the capital of Bagmati Province as declared by majority Provincial Assembly Members on 12 January 2020. It is one of the largest cities of Nepal. At the time of the 2015 Nepal census, it had a population of 153,875 people. The city had a population of 195,951 in 2021.

The Kathmandu Post is a major daily newspaper published in Nepal. Founded in February 1993 by Shyam Goenka, it is one of the largest English-language newspapers in the country. The newspaper is independently owned and published by Kantipur Publications, the owners of Nepal's largest selling newspaper, the Nepali-language Kantipur. Post is a member of the Asia News Network, an alliance of nineteen Asian newspapers. The Kathmandu Post is Nepal's first privately owned English broadsheet daily, and is Nepal's largest selling English language newspaper, with a daily circulation of 95,000 copies.

Chandannath Municipality in Karnali Province, Nepal

Chandannath is a municipality in Jumla District in the Karnali Province of Nepal. The municipality was established on 18 May 2014 by merging the existing Mahat Gaun, Talium, Kartik Swami (Jumla), and Chandannath village development committees (VDCs). At the time of the 1991 Nepal census it had a population of 5,842 persons living in 1,000 individual households.

The total area of the province is 21,504 km2 - about 14.57% of the country's total area. According to the latest census, the population of the province was 2,403,757. The newly elected Provincial Assembly adopted Gandaki Province as the permanent name by replacing its initial name Province no. 4 in July 2018. Lumbini Province Province of Nepal

Lumbini Province is a province in western Nepal. It borders Gandaki Province and Karnali Province to the north, Sudurpashchim Province to the west, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar of India to the south. Lumbini is the third largest and the third most populous province among the Nepali provinces.

The COVID-19 pandemic in Nepal is part of the worldwide pandemic of coronavirus disease 2019 caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2. The first case in Nepal was confirmed on 23 January 2020 when a 31-year-old student, who had returned to Kathmandu from Wuhan on 9 January, tested positive for the disease. It was also the first recorded case of COVID-19 in South Asia. Nepal's first case of local transmission was confirmed on 4 April in Kailali District. The first death occurred on 14 May. A country-wide lockdown came into effect on 24 March 2020, and ended on 21 July 2020. As of 7 June 2022, the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) has confirmed a total of 979,213 cases, 967,154 recoveries, and 11,952 deaths in the country. In the meantime, 5,719,524 real-time RT-PCR (RT-qPCR) tests have been performed in 40 laboratories across the country. The viral disease has been detected in all provinces and districts of the country, with Bagmati Province and Kathmandu being the worst hit province and district respectively. As for Nepalese abroad, as of 26 July 2020, the Non-Resident Nepali Association has reported a total of 12,667 confirmed cases, 16,190 recoveries, and 161 deaths across 35 countries.

Dhanusha 2 is one of four parliamentary constituencies of Dhanusha District in Nepal. This constituency came into existence on the Constituency Delimitation Commission (CDC) report submitted on 31 August 2017.

Bagmati Province cricket team, also known as Team Bagmati is a Nepali provincial cricket team, based in the Bagmati Province of Nepal. The team plays limited overs and Twenty20 cricket in the Prime Minister One Day Cup and the Gautam Buddha Cup. The team is currently being run under the Cricket Association of Bagmati Province, with Gyanendra Malla as the team captain.
