Abomey is a city in the Zou Department of Benin. Abomey is also the former capital of the Kingdom of Dahomey, which would later become a French colony, then the Republic of Dahomey (1960–1975), and is the modern-day Republic of Benin.

The cathedral of Notre Dame de Miséricorde, commonly known as Cotonou Cathedral, is a Roman Catholic cathedral, located near the Ancien Pont Bridge in Cotonou, Benin. It is noted for its distinct burgundy and white striped tiled architecture. Its tower stands towards the rear-end left side of the main building.

Dassa-Zoumé, often shortened to Dassa, is a city in Benin, on the Cotonou to Parakou railway and the main north-south highway. The commune covers an area of 1711 square kilometres and as of 2013 had a population of 112,118. Jama'at Islamique Ahmadiyya Benin has built its central Mosque here in 2010. It is a beautiful mosque with a tall, 18-meter minaret just outside the city on main road towards Parakou. The Gumaca diocese was erected in 1984, carved out from the Diocese of Lucena. Both dioceses are suffragan of the Archdiocese of Lipa.
