List of cities in Sindh by population

The following list sorts all cities in the Pakistani province of Sindh with a population of more than 50,000 according to the 2017 Census. As of March 15, 2017, 40 cities fulfill this criterion and are listed here. This list refers only to the population of individual cities, municipalities and towns within their defined limits, which does not include other municipalities or suburban areas within urban agglomerations.

Sindhis are an Indo-Aryan ethnolinguistic group who speak the Sindhi language and are native to the Sindh province of Pakistan. The historical homeland of Sindhis is bordered by the southeastern part of Balochistan, the Bahawalpur region of Punjab and the Kutch region of Gujarat. Having been isolated throughout history, unlike its neighbours, Sindhi culture has preserved its own uniqueness.

Sukkur is a city in the Pakistani province of Sindh along the western bank of the Indus River, directly across from the historic city of Rohri. Sukkur is the third largest city in Sindh after Karachi and Hyderabad, and 14th largest city of Pakistan by population. The city was originally founded by the Rai dynasty of Sindh. The modern city was built in the 1840s. New Sukkur was established during the British era alongside the village of Sukkur. Sukkur's hill, along with the hill on the river island of Bukkur, form what is sometimes considered the "Gate of Sindh".

Mirpur Khas is the capital city of the Mirpur Khas District and Mirpur Khas Division in the Sindh province, Pakistan. Mirpur Khas is the 6th largest city in Sindh province and the 34th largest city of Pakistan. The city was built by Talpur rulers of Mankani branch. According to the 2017 Census of Pakistan, its population is 233,916. Mirpur Khas is known for its mango cultivation, with hundreds of varieties of the fruit produced each year - it is also called the “City of Mangoes,” and has been home to an annual mango festival since 1955. After the completion of Hyderabad-Mirpurkhas dual carriage way, the city has become hub of commercial activities.

Sanghar District (Sindhi: ضلعو سانگھڙ, Urdu: ضلع سانگھڑ) is one of the largest districts of Sindh province, Pakistan. This district lies between 25058'13 N latitudes and 69024'4E longitudes. It was a village before Mallah Tribe were settled there. This district has the largest Mallah tribe population. It has an area of 9874 square kilometres. It is located in the centre of Sindh and is bounded to the east by India. The district capital, Sanghar, is itself a small city roughly 35 miles (56 km) east-south-east of the city of Nawabshah and the same distance north of Mirpur Khas. Its primary industry is agriculture.

Tando Jam is a town and a municipal committee of Hyderabad District in the Sindh province of Pakistan. It lies on the east of Hyderabad Taluka, about 12 kilometres northeast of the city center. As of 2017, Its population is 71,760.

Thatta District is located in the southern area, locally called Laar, of the province of Sindh, Pakistan. Its capital is Thatta. It is home to a large necropolis of Makli. In 2013, several talukas were separated to form the new Sujawal District.

Jacobabad District is a district in the province of Sindh, Pakistan. According to 2023 Census population of Jacobabad District is 1,174,097 It is located in the north of Sindh, by the provincial boundary with Balochistan. Its headquarters is the town of Jacobabad, which was founded by General John Jacob in 1847.

Shahbandar is a historical port town in Sujawal District, Sindh, Pakistan. During its heyday in the late 1700s, Shahbandar reportedly was home to as many as 50,000 people, but it soon lost its port access and went into a steep decline.

Pano Aqil, is a tehsil of Sukkur District in the Sindh province of Pakistan. It is located approximately 40 kilometres (25 mi) north of the city of Sukkur. It consists of 12 union councils According to 2017 Census of Pakistan, the population of Pano Akil was estimated to be 75,805.

Mirpur Mathelo is a city in Ghotki District, Sindh province, Pakistan. The city is administratively subdivided into ten union councils. It is the 97th largest city in Pakistan. It is also the location of the archaeological site, Moomal Ji Mari.
