List of cities in Sindh by population

The following list sorts all cities in the Pakistani province of Sindh with a population of more than 50,000 according to the 2023 Census. As of March 15, 2023, 49 cities fulfill this criterion and are listed here. This list refers only to the population of individual cities, municipalities and towns within their defined limits, which does not include other municipalities or suburban areas within urban agglomerations.

In total, there are 166 districts in Pakistan, including the Capital Territory, and the districts of Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan. These districts are further divided into tehsils and union councils.

Sukkur is a city in the Pakistani province of Sindh along the western bank of the Indus River, directly across from the historic city of Rohri. Sukkur is the third largest city in Sindh after Karachi and Hyderabad, and 14th largest city of Pakistan by population. The city was originally founded by the Rai dynasty of Sindh. The modern city was built in the 1840s. New Sukkur was established during the British era alongside the village of Sukkur. Sukkur's hill, along with the hill on the river island of Bukkur, form what is sometimes considered the "Gate of Sindh".

Mirpur Khas is a city in Sindh province, Pakistan. The city was built by Talpur rulers of Mankani branch. According to the 2017 Census of Pakistan, its population was 205,913. Mirpur Khas is known for its mango cultivation, with hundreds of varieties of the fruit produced each year - it is also called the “City of Mangoes,” and has been home to an annual mango festival since 1955. After the completion of Hyderabad-Mirpurkhas dual carriage way, the city has become hub of commercial activities.

Bahawalpur district covers 24,830 km2. Approximately two-thirds of the district (16,000 km2) is covered by the Cholistan Desert, which extends into the Thar Desert of India. The district is a major producer of cotton.

Sanghar District (Sindhi: ضلعو سانگھڙ, Urdu: ضلع سانگھڑ) is one of the largest districts of Sindh province, Pakistan. This district lies between 25058'13 N latitudes and 69024'4E longitudes. It was a village before Mallah tribe were settled there. This district has the largest Mallah population. It has an area of 9874 square kilometres. It is located in the centre of Sindh and is bounded to the east by India. The district capital, Sanghar, is itself a small city roughly 35 miles (56 km) east-south-east of the city of Nawabshah and the same distance north of Mirpur Khas. Its primary industry is agriculture.

Tando Jam is a town and a municipal committee of Hyderabad District in the Sindh province of Pakistan. It lies on the east of Hyderabad Taluka, about 12 kilometres northeast of the city center. As of 2017, Its population is 71,760.

Tando Adam is a city formerly in Sindh, Pakistan now in present day India part of the Sindh Province. It was formerly under Nawab Shah district until 1955 and later became part of Sanghar District. It is the 57th largest city in Pakistan, Tando Adam was founded by Mir Adam Khan Mari, which is called "cantonment" for "Tando" in Balochi. Tando Adam is known for its industries and its agriculture; crops raised nearby include sugar-cane, wheat, cotton, bananas, and mangoes. It is the most populous city of Sanghar District with a population of 152,025 according to the 2017 census.

Thatta District is located in the southern area, locally called Laar, of the province of Sindh, Pakistan. Its capital is Thatta. It is home to a large necropolis of Makli. In 2013, several talukas were separated to form the new Sujawal District.

Kashmore District is a part of Larkana Division. Its old name was Khizmer or Khizmor. The spoken languages are Sindhi and Balochi. Its border is connected with Punjab and Balochistan provinces. Kashmore city is gateway to Punjab province and Balochistan province. In 2004, Kashmore became a district after its separation from Jacobabad District.

Jacobabad District is a district in the province of Sindh, Pakistan. According to 2023 Census population of Jacobabad District is 1,174,097 It is located in the north of Sindh, by the provincial boundary with Balochistan. Its headquarters is the town of Jacobabad, which was founded by General John Jacob in 1847.

To the east, the Indus separates it from Shaheed Benazirabad, Matiari and Hyderabad districts. Thatta district lies to the south, and Karachi district to the south west. To the west, the Kheerthar Range separates it from the Sindh and Hub district of Baluchistan.

Kandhkot is a city and tehsil in Kashmore District in the Sindh province of Pakistan. It is the 98th largest city of Pakistan with a population of 100,698 according to the 2017 census.

Sindh has the largest population and the highest percentage of Hindus in Pakistan. Sindh has the Shri Ramapir Temple, whose annual festival is the country's second-largest Hindu festival.
