"This Is Me" is a song performed by Keala Settle for the film The Greatest Showman. It was released on October 26, 2017, by Atlantic Records as a promotional single from The Greatest Showman: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack and the official lead single on December 8, 2017. It won the Golden Globe Award for Best Original Song at the 75th Golden Globe Awards and was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Original Song at the 90th Academy Awards, but lost to "Remember Me" from the film Coco. "Rewrite the Stars" is a song performed by Zac Efron and Zendaya for the film The Greatest Showman (2017). It was released on November 17, 2017 by Atlantic Records as a promotional single from The Greatest Showman: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack. In Australia, "Rewrite the Stars" was released to radio on July 20, 2018. The song sees Efron's character, Phillip, serenading Zendaya's character, Anne, trying to convince her that they're meant to be together, despite their differences races. Anne was treated differently because of the colour of her skin and she felt it all the time. Phillip genuinely loved her and was most oblivious of how she felt about people seeing it thinking about them being together.

The Weeknd co-wrote the song with his producer Frank Dukes, with Nicolas Jaar receiving writing credits for the sampling of his 2016 song "Killing Time". The song was sent to rhythmic contemporary radio on April 10, 2018, as the EP's first single in the United States. It has been alleged that the song is about his relationship with Selena Gomez, who he dated in 2017.
