Persatuan Industri Rakaman Malaysia (RIM) is a Malaysian non-profit music organisation, founded on 12 December 1978, as the Malaysian Association of Phonograph Producers (MAPP). In the end of the 1980s, it changed its name to Malaysian Association of Phonogram and Videogram Producers and Distributors (MAPV). It adopted its current name in 1996.

Kim Yoon-ho, known professionally as Shaun (Korean: 숀), is a South Korean singer-songwriter, music producer, and DJ. He debuted in 2010 as the keyboardist and backup singer of the indie rock band The Koxx. In July 2018, his solo song, "Way Back Home," unexpectedly topped South Korean music charts, drawing accusations that he and his management had manipulated chart rankings. His management company denied the accusations, as did Shaun himself. After investigation by the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, these accusations were found false.

Alif Abdullah, better known as ALYPH or Alif is a Singaporean-Malay singer, performer, songwriter, composer and producer based in Malaysia. Between 2005 and 2015, Alif was active as part of the Singaporean hip hop and R&B duo, SleeQ, along with his cousin, Syarifullah/Syarif. He is the founder of the record label Black Hat Cat Records. He signed with Def Jam Recordings South East Asia in 2019.

"Roses" is a song by Guyanese-American rapper Saint Jhn, originally released on July 22, 2016 and later included on his 2018 album Collection One. Originally produced by Fallen, it was remixed by Kazakh producer Imanbek and released as a single on September 18, 2019. The remix of the song helped the song gain international recognition after it was featured on a Snapchat filter and on video-sharing app TikTok where it received over 4.5 billion plays in the month of April 2020. On May 27, 2020, a second remix produced by Quay Global and Fallen was released with American rapper Future. On July 20, 2020, a music video was released for the second remix. The remix's music video budget was bumped to help bail funds for arrested protesters and aid black-owned businesses and the Black Lives Matter movement, all regarding the George Floyd protests that started during May 2020.
Dolla is a four-member Malaysian girl group formed in 2019 by Universal Music Malaysia. Its members consists of Sabronzo, Tabby, Angel, and Syasya. The group is known for their vocal, dance & rap elements in their performances. They signed a contract with Universal Music Malaysia and released their debut single "Dolla Make You Wanna" on 20 March 2020. The group fandom is called "iDolla".
