As of 2009 the archdiocese consider 200 as the minimum optimal enrollment for a Catholic grade school, [26] and 225 was considered to be the lowest number in which a school could have at least one class for each grade level. In 2001 the K-8 schools in the diocese had 14,954 students, but by the 2007-2008 school year this declined to 10,883. [27]

North Wildwood is home to the Hereford Inlet Lighthouse.

Wildwood is a city in Cape May County in the U.S. state of New Jersey. The city, and all of Cape May County, is part of the Ocean City metropolitan statistical area, and is part of the Philadelphia-Wilmington-Camden, PA-NJ-DE-MD combined statistical area, also known as the Delaware Valley or Philadelphia metropolitan area. As of the 2020 United States census, the city's year-round population was 5,157, a decrease of 168 (−3.2%) from the 2010 census count of 5,325, which in turn reflected a decline of 111 (−2.0%) from the 5,436 counted in the 2000 census. A popular Jersey Shore resort destination, the population can swell to 250,000 during the summer. Wildwood was the first city in New Jersey to have a female mayor, Doris W. Bradway, who was ousted in a 1938 recall election.

The Diocese of Paterson is a Latin Church ecclesiastical territory or diocese of the Catholic Church in the United States that encompasses Passaic, Morris, and Sussex counties in northern New Jersey. Most of this territory lies to the west of the episcopal see in Paterson. As of 2013, there were 166 active diocesan priests, 96 retired priests, 124 religious priests, 136 permanent deacons, 19 retired permanent deacons, 178 male religious and 677 female religious to serve 426,000 Catholics out of a total population of 1,143,500, ranking it 44th in Catholic population among dioceses in the United States. The patrons of the diocese are St. Patrick and St. John the Baptist, and its proper feasts are the Feast of St. Patrick, the Nativity of John the Baptist, the anniversary of the dedication of the cathedral church. The diocese is a suffragan diocese in the ecclesiastical province of the metropolitan Archdiocese of Newark, and is part of Region III of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops.

The Roman Catholic Diocese of Camden is a Roman Catholic diocese of the Latin Church in the U.S. state of New Jersey. It consists of 62 parishes and about 475,000 Catholics in the South Jersey counties of Atlantic – Camden, Cape May, Cumberland, Gloucester, and Salem.

St. Joseph Academy is a four-year co-educational high school located in Hammonton, in Atlantic County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey, serving students in grades 9–12. The Academy was established for the 2020-21 school year, replacing St. Joseph High School, which had operated since 1942 under the auspices of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Camden. The school is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Elementary and Secondary Schools through December 2025; The school's accreditation status was extended for seven years in Fall 2018. In 2020, the former school permanently closed because of financial problems that were exacerbated by the coronavirus pandemic and the request from the Diocese of Camden.

Wildwood Catholic Academy (WCA), formerly Wildwood Catholic High School, is a co-educational pre-kindergarten to twelfth grade Catholic school in North Wildwood, in Cape May County, New Jersey. The school operates under the auspices of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Camden. The school opened in September 1948 with an initial enrollment of 80 students. Wildwood Catholic High School has been accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Elementary and Secondary Schools since 1956; the school's accreditation expires in May 2023.

Ocean View is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) located within Dennis Township in Cape May County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. The area is served as United States Postal Service ZIP Code 08230. The post office was established in 1872, with William Doolittle as the first postmaster.

Saint James High School was a Roman Catholic high school located in Carneys Point Township, in Salem County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey, that operated under the auspices of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Camden.
