Bosnia and Herzegovina, abbreviated BiH or B&H, sometimes called Bosnia–Herzegovina and often known informally as Bosnia, is a country at the crossroads of south and southeast Europe, located in the Balkans. The capital and largest city is Sarajevo. Bosnia and Herzegovina borders Serbia to the east, Montenegro to the southeast, and Croatia to the north and southwest. It is not entirely landlocked; in the south it has a narrow coast on the Adriatic Sea within the Mediterranean, which is about 20 kilometres long and surrounds the town of Neum. Bosnia, which is the inland region of the country, has a moderate continental climate with hot summers and cold, snowy winters. In the central and eastern regions of the country, the geography is mountainous, in the northwest it is moderately hilly, and in the northeast it is predominantly flat. Herzegovina, which is the smaller, southern region of the country, has a Mediterranean climate and is mostly mountainous.
The economy of Bosnia and Herzegovina is a transitional, upper middle income economy with limited market reforms. Bosnia and Herzegovina declared independence from socialist Yugoslavia on 1 March 1992. The main trading partners are Germany, Italy, Austria, Turkey and other neighboring Balkan countries.
Sarajevo is the capital and largest city of Bosnia and Herzegovina, with a population of 275,524 in its administrative limits. The Sarajevo metropolitan area including Sarajevo Canton, East Sarajevo and nearby municipalities is home to 555,210 inhabitants. Located within the greater Sarajevo valley of Bosnia, it is surrounded by the Dinaric Alps and situated along the Miljacka River in the heart of the Balkans, a region of Southern Europe.
The Siege of Sarajevo was a prolonged blockade of Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina, during the Bosnian War. After initially being besieged by the forces of the Yugoslav People's Army, the city was then besieged by the Army of Republika Srpska from 5 April 1992 to 29 February 1996. It lasted three times longer than the Battle of Stalingrad and more than a year longer than the siege of Leningrad, and was the longest siege of a capital city in the history of modern warfare.

Sarajevo International Airport ;, also known as Butmir Airport, is the main international airport in Bosnia and Herzegovina, serving Sarajevo, capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is located 3.3 NM southwest of the Sarajevo railway station and some 6.5 NM west of downtown Sarajevo in the Ilidža municipality, suburb of Butmir. In 2019, 1,143,680 passengers traveled through the airport, compared to 323,499 in 2001.
Baščaršija is Sarajevo's old bazaar and the historical and cultural center of the city. Baščaršija was built in the 15th century when Isa-Beg Ishaković founded the city.
Istočno Sarajevo is de jure capital city of Republika Srpska entity of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It consists of a few suburban areas of pre-war Sarajevo which are now included in the Republika Srpska entity, and newly built areas. With an area of 1450 km2, Istočno Sarajevo is one of the largest administrative areas in the Balkans. As of 2013, it has a population of 61,516 inhabitants. Istočno Sarajevo is the largest city in Republika Srpska in terms of area, while it is in fifth place in terms of population. It is the only city of the entity that includes several municipalities: Istočna Ilidža, Istočno Novo Sarajevo, Pale, Istočni Stari Grad, Sokolac and Trnovo. It is separated from Sarajevo and Canton Sarajevo by the Inter-Entity Boundary Line (IEBL). The City Administration of East Sarajevo is located in the municipality of Istočno Novo Sarajevo, in Stefana Nemanje Street.

Citypark Albania is a shopping mall in Albania. located along the Durrës – Tirana highway. It is Albania's second-largest shopping centre, with 180 shops, a supermarket, a food court, a hotel, an ice-skating ring, Cartoonland, and other entertainment areas. The shopping center is 12 km away from the centre of Tirana, 8 km from the Kamëz Crossing, and 7.5 km from the Tirana International Airport Mother Teresa. The shopping mall was constructed by AM Group, a local company. The total cost of the investment has been estimated at 80 million euros.
BBI Centar is a shopping mall in the center of Sarajevo. It is one of the largest shopping malls in Bosnia and Herzegovina, stretching to 43,000 m2 (460,000 sq ft). It was opened on April 6, 2009. The BBI Centar was built on the site where Robna kuća Sarajka, popular state-owned department store, stood during the time Bosnia and Herzegovina was part of SFR Yugoslavia. Construction started in early 2006 and finished in early 2009. The top floors are also home to the headquarters of Al Jazeera Balkans.
KK Bosna Royal is a professional basketball team based in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, which became European champion by winning the 1978–79 FIBA European Champions Cup. It is the most successful Bosnian club of all time. KK Bosna Royal competes in the Basketball Championship of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is part of the University Sport Society USD Bosna.
