The 2007 CFU Club Championship was the annual international football club competition held in the Caribbean Football Union (CFU) region. Nineteen teams were to compete in the tournament, from November 4 to November 16 in six venues in Trinidad and Tobago. The first round consisted of five groups played in a round-robin format. The first round group winners along with the three best second-place teams advanced to the quarterfinals. The Caribbean Tournament Champion qualified to the 2008 CONCACAF Champions Cup.

Helenites SC is a U.S. Virgin Islands soccer club based in Grove Place, U.S. Virgin Islands that regularly competes in the U.S. Virgin Islands Championship, and has had success in the tournament. The team competed in the St Croix Soccer League and is one of the most successful clubs in St Croix and in the U.S. Virgin Islands.

In the 2014–15 football season, the U.S. Virgin Islands Championship was won by Helenites SC of the St. Croix Soccer League, beating Raymix SC of the St. Thomas League in the final.
The 2016–17 U.S. Virgin Islands Championship was the 14th edition of the competition. The season began on 30 October 2016 and ended on 12 February 2017. The championship itself was a four-team tournament that determined the domestic champion of the U.S. Virgin Islands, based on the top two finishers in the St. Croix and St. Thomas Leagues.
The 2018–19 U.S. Virgin Islands Premier League was the first season of the U.S. Virgin Islands Premier League, and the 15th season of the U.S. Virgin Islands Soccer Championship, the top division soccer competition in the United States Virgin Islands. The season began on 14 October 2018 and ended on 17 February 2019.
The 2019–20 U.S. Virgin Islands Premier League was the second season of the U.S. Virgin Islands Premier League, and the 16th season of the U.S. Virgin Islands Soccer Championship, the top division soccer competition in the United States Virgin Islands. The season was scheduled to begin on 10 November 2019 and was scheduled to end on 22 March 2020. However, the start of the season was delayed to 19 January 2020, and the league was suspended on 14 March 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The 2022 U.S. Virgin Islands gubernatorial election took place on November 8, 2022 to elect the Governor of the United States Virgin Islands. The election was held concurrently with the 2022 United States midterm elections.
LRVI FC is a United States Virgin Islands football club based in Saint Thomas. The club competes in the U.S. Virgin Islands Premier League, the top tier of USVI football. Founder Joseph Limeburner is the current club President LRVI FC is the only club in the United States Virgin Islands officially licensed by CONCACAF.
