This is a list of universities and other higher education institutions in Chile, namely Professional Institutes (IP) and Technical Training Centers (CFT).
In the Chilean higher education system, there are 61 universities, with over 750.000 students. Of these, 46 are accredited by the Chilean National Accreditation Commission, representing 94% of the total student registration.
Universities founded before 1981, or which can be traced before that year, are known as Traditional Universities. Two Universities, Universidad de O'Higgins and Universidad de Aysén, are two public universities created in 2015, receiving their first students in 2017.

A business school is a university-level institution or professional school that confers degrees in business administration or management. A business school may also be referred to as school of management, management school, school of business administration, or colloquially b-school or biz school. A business school offers comprehensive education in various disciplines related to the world of business, including business administration, business analytics, business strategy, marketing, sales, entrepreneurship, accounting, finance, economics, banking, insurance, human resource management, supply chain management, logistics management, operations management, management information systems, international business, organizational psychology, organizational behavior, public relations, research methods, real estate, and other pertinent subjects.
The University of Puerto Rico is the main public university system in the U.S. Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. It is a government-owned corporation with 11 campuses and approximately 44,200 students and approximately 4,450 faculty members. UPR has the largest and most diverse academic offerings in the commonwealth, with 472 academic programs of which 32 lead to a doctorate.
The Federico Santa María Technical University is a Chilean university member of the Rector's Council, founded in 1926 in Valparaíso, Chile.
Education in state institutions is at the initial, primary, secondary and tertiary levels and in the undergraduate university level. Private education is paid, although in some cases state subsidies support its costs. According to studies by UNESCO, education in Argentina and Uruguay guarantee equality to have institutional features that hinder the commercialization of education, as well as Finland has characteristics that favor multiethnic population education and special education, education favors Argentina equality. According to the last census, the illiteracy rate is 1.9%, the second lowest in Latin America. In the last decade, Argentina has created nine new universities, while the outflow of university students increased by 68%.
The University of Maryland Global Campus is a public university in Adelphi, Maryland. It is the largest institution in the University System of Maryland. Established in 1947, UMGC offers online, hybrid and face-to-face instruction at education centers across the Washington–Baltimore metropolitan area, throughout Maryland, and across the world.
The Pontifical Catholic University of Chile is one of the six Catholic Universities existing in the Chilean university system and one of the two pontifical universities in the country, along with the Pontifical Catholic University of Valparaíso. Founded in 1888, it is also one of Chile's oldest universities and one of the most recognized educational institutions in Latin America.
The University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras Campus is a public land-grant research university in San Juan, Puerto Rico. It is the largest campus in the University of Puerto Rico system in terms of student population and it was Puerto Rico's first public university campus.

A.T. Still University (ATSU) is a private medical school based in Kirksville, Missouri, with a second campus in Arizona and third campus in Santa Maria, California. It was founded in 1892 by Andrew Taylor Still and was the world's first osteopathic medical school. It is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission. ATSU includes three campuses on 200 acres with seven schools and colleges.
The Institut Supérieur du Commerce, a business school located in Paris, is a French university-level institution. Its programs consist of a core degree, a bachelor's program offering six different specializations, a Master's degree in management according to the Bologna European higher education standards, and a MBA program offering sixteen different specializations. These courses are available both on a part-time and full-time basis.
EU Business School is a private business school with campuses in Geneva (Switzerland), Barcelona (Spain), and Munich (Germany). It is a member of OMNES Education Group since 2022.
