Live in Brussels '19 is the third in a trio of benefit live albums [1] by Australian psychedelic rock band King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard, which was released digitally to Bandcamp on 15 January 2020. [2] The previous two live albums, Live in Adelaide '19 , and Live in Paris '19 , were both released five days prior. The album debuted at number 34 on the ARIA Albums Chart. [3] [4]
The album features a set by the band performed at the Ancienne Belgique in Brussels on 8 and 9 October 2019. The tracks come from eight of the band’s albums: Nonagon Infinity , Murder of the Universe , Infest the Rats' Nest , Fishing for Fishies , Gumboot Soup , Paper Mâché Dream Balloon , Oddments , and Float Along – Fill Your Lungs .
All of the proceeds have gone to Wires Wildlife Rescue, [5] in response to the 2019–20 Australian bushfires. [6] [7] [8]
Tracks 1–9 were recorded from the 8 October 2019 concert, and Tracks 10–17 were from the 9 October concert. [2]

The Murlocs are an Australian rock band from Melbourne. They are composed of Ambrose Kenny-Smith on vocals and harmonica, Cal Shortal on guitar, Cook Craig on bass guitar, Tim Karmouche on keyboards, and Matt Blach on drums. They were formed in 2011 by Ambrose Kenny-Smith, and they have released six studio albums since then. They are signed to Flightless Records, and many of the band members are a part of other bands signed to Flightless, including King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard and ORB. Their sound is a mix of rock and R&B, with the distorted harmonica of Kenny-Smith providing the band with a distinctive sound.

It is the band's first album not released on Flightless Records, instead being released on the band's own label KGLW. It is their second studio LP of 2021, following February's L.W.. The album was described as "melodic" and "psychedelic" upon its initial announcement on 10 May, along with the words "cross-eyed auto-stereogram", in reference to the album art.

It marked the first studio release where all band members are playing together live since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. As with previous releases, the album features music of numerous genres, including psychedelia, progressive rock, heavy metal and synth-pop, as well as the band's first experiments with hip hop. It received generally positive reviews, although critics were divided on its length and consistency.
Joseph William Quinn Walker is an Australian musician, singer, and producer who is best known as being the lead guitarist for the band King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard. Walker was previously part of the electronic duo Trumpdisco and indie rock band Love Migrate. He also releases solo works under the name Bullant.

It compiles the band's live concerts at the Salt Shed in Chicago, Illinois, where they played on 11–13 June 2023 as part of their USA Residency Tour.
