Liz Miele (born 1985 [1] is an American stand-up comedian and writer [2] based in New York City.

Born and raised in Pennington, New Jersey, [1] Miele attended Hopewell Valley Central High School. [3] She started doing stand-up comedy at age 16. [4] [5] As a teenager, she had a correspondence with George Carlin, who became a friend and mentor. [6]

She has appeared on @fter Midnight , [7] Comedy Central, FOX, AXS TV, [8] Hulu, and Wait Wait Don't Tell Me . [9]

Miele has also been featured in The New Yorker , [10] The New York Times , [11] The Guardian [6] and Paste magazine. [12]

She has toured internationally, written a book, Why Cats Are Assholes, [13] and has self-produced four one-hour comedy specials on YouTube, which have over 6 million views. [14]
