Liz Wickersham is an American television personality [1] best known as the host of CNN's entertainment newsmagazine Showbiz Today and host of WTBS's Award-Winning Magazine Program, Good News.
Wickersham, who grew up in Orange, Texas, moved to Georgia after attending the University of Texas and won the title of Miss Georgia USA, going on to compete in the 1976 Miss USA pageant, where she was selected as Miss Photogenic and ultimately became one of the Top 12 semifinalists. [2] Following this, she briefly worked for Democratic Congressman Charlie Wilson in Washington, DC. Her father was both a major Democratic contributor and the seller of the second-hand Lincoln automobiles that Wilson preferred. [3] She later appeared as the cover model for the April 1981 issue of Playboy magazine. [1]
Shortly thereafter, Ted Turner offered her an on-air position with the fledgling network, CNN. Her broadcasting profile soon rose considerably after being selected in to interview Cuban President Fidel Castro at the presidential palace in Havana following an invitation he issued to CNN. She returned to Cuba for a follow-up interview with Castro two years later. Liz Wickersham co-hosted the CNN program Showbiz Today (modeled on syndication's successful Entertainment Tonight ) which featured entertainment industry news. She also served as the host of WTBS's Sunday-morning magazine program "Good News", produced by the husband-and-wife TV writing team of Bonnie and Terry Turner.
Wickersham was married for 27 years to Paul Dudley Derounian, Manhattan Attorney and Vietnam War Veteran, who died suddenly and peacefully in his sleep on Sunday July 27, 2014, at his summer home in Westhampton, NY. [4]

In addition, he founded WTBS, which pioneered the superstation concept in cable television, which later became TBS.
Turner Broadcasting System, Inc. was an American television and media conglomerate founded by Ted Turner in 1965. Based in Atlanta, Georgia, it merged with Time Warner on October 10, 1996. As of April 2022, all of its assets are now owned by Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD). The headquarters of Turner's properties are largely located at the CNN Center in Downtown Atlanta, and the Turner Broadcasting campus off Techwood Drive in Midtown Atlanta, which also houses Turner Studios. Some of their operations are housed within WBD's corporate and global headquarters inside 30 Hudson Yards in Manhattan's West Side district, and at 230 Park Avenue South in Midtown Manhattan, both in New York City, respectively.
Barbara Jill Walters was an American broadcast journalist and television personality. Known for her interviewing ability and popularity with viewers, she appeared as a host of numerous television programs, including Today, the ABC Evening News, 20/20, and The View. Walters was a working journalist from 1951 until her retirement in 2015. Walters was inducted into the Television Hall of Fame in 1989, received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the NATAS in 2000 and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2007.
Vanna Marie White is an American television personality and game-show hostess, best known as the co-host of the game show Wheel of Fortune, a position she has held since 1982. She began her career as a model while studying fashion, competing in Miss Georgia USA in 1978. In addition to her work on Wheel of Fortune, she has played minor characters or appeared as herself in many films and television series, and is the author of the 1987 autobiography Vanna Speaks. She also participates in real-estate investment, owns the yarn brand Vanna's Choice, and patronizes St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Robin Michelle Meade is a former American television news correspondent and singer. She was the lead news anchor for HLN's morning show Morning Express with Robin Meade. Meade was a former Miss Ohio and began her broadcasting career with local stations in Ohio. She joined HLN in 2001. She won a regional Emmy Award. Meade released country music albums in 2011 and 2013.

Showbiz Tonight is a defunct American entertainment news program that aired from February 20, 2005, until February 6, 2014, on HLN. Showbiz Tonight was hosted by A. J. Hammer at CNN New York at the time of its cancellation. The show reported and debated celebrity entertainment news stories and controversies, along with social networking segments involving viewer interaction via social networks and the program's call-in toll free number. The program aired Monday through Thursday nights at 11 p.m. Eastern, with encore presentations on Tuesday through Saturday mornings at 2 a.m. and 4:10 a.m. Eastern. Showbiz Tonight is also shown several times daily in Europe on Star! Scandinavia, a channel operated by Turner NonStop Television, part of Turner Broadcasting.
Nischelle Renee Turner is the co-host of Entertainment Tonight (2014–present) and Secret Celebrity Renovation (2021–present). Previously she was former entertainment correspondent for HLN's Showbiz Tonight and CNN and an entertainment correspondent for KNBC in Los Angeles. She was a general assignment reporter for KTTV Fox 11 from 2004 and to October 2, 2008, and worked as a sideline reporter for Fox's Sunday NFL broadcasts, and did segments for a show called Dailies. Prior to KTTV, she worked for WEHT, the ABC affiliate in Evansville, Indiana and for WVUE, the Fox affiliate in New Orleans. She is a native of Columbia, Missouri. She attended the University of Missouri, and graduated from its Missouri School of Journalism in 1998. She used to work with either analyst Kurt Warner or Torry Holt and either play-by-play Chris Myers, Sam Rosen, or Chris Rose. She also works with Paul Sunderland on college basketball telecasts.
