Cove Rangers Football Club is a senior Scottish football club currently playing in Scottish League One. They are based in the Cove Bay area of Aberdeen and play their football at Balmoral Stadium, having left their former home at Allan Park in April 2015.

Hawarden High School is an English language medium secondary school in Hawarden, Flintshire, Wales. It is part of the Flintshire LEA. The school traces its history back to 1606 when a single-classroom grammar school was established with £300 left by a local resident named George Ledsham. The current building occupying this place was first built in 1898 by local architects Grayson & Ould and W&T Bailey, and was extended throughout its history. Located on the same site is a Grade II listed building, the School Library, the former Headmaster's House.

The then Edward Stanley, 18th Earl of Derby (1918–1994) presided over the ceremony. At the time of opening, the school's staff of 10 teachers looked after 222 pupils.

Northfield Academy has a 3G Astro pitch.
Torry Academy was a secondary school in Torry, Aberdeen, run by Aberdeen City Council. The original school was built in 1927 and added to in 1947, creating the granite part of the school building. The school was extended in the late 1970s on the site of The Moundie to create an additional 3-storey block. Torry Academy was closed on July 6, 2018, prior to the opening of the new £47 million Lochside Academy in Altens. It closed around the same time as Kincorth Academy. Both schools were replaced by Lochside Academy. After almost 3 years, demolition work began in April 2021, before being finished in September.
The 2017 Aberdeen City Council election took place on 4 May 2017 to elect members of Aberdeen City Council. The election used the 13 wards created as a result of the Local Governance (Scotland) Act 2004, with each ward electing three or four Councillors using the single transferable vote system a form of proportional representation, with a total of 45 Councillors elected, an increase in two members from 2012.
