The 42nd London Film Critics' Circle Awards honoured the best in film of 2021, as chosen by the London Film Critics' Circle. [1] All films released in a UK cinema and direct to premiere streaming services between February 2021 and February 2022 were all eligible to be nominated. [2] For the second year in a row, the event took place virtually on the London Critics' Circle YouTube channel, this time with critics presenting awards remotely from the ceremony's usual home at The May Fair Hotel. The nominations were announced on 16 December 2021 by actors Gwilym Lee and Joanna Vanderham. [6] [7] [8]

The London Critics' Circle Film Awards is sponsored by The Critics' Circle, The May Fair Hotel, Rémy Martin, DDA, and Pearl Pictures Productions. An in-person event to celebrate the winners took place later in 2022. [1]

Colman also served as an executive producer.

Cyrano is a 2021 romantic drama musical film directed by Joe Wright and produced by Tim Bevan, Eric Fellner, and Guy Heeley, from a screenplay written by Erica Schmidt, based on the 2018 stage musical by Schmidt, Aaron Dessner, Bryce Dessner, Matt Berninger, and Carin Besser, itself based on the 1897 Edmond Rostand play Cyrano de Bergerac. The film stars Peter Dinklage, Haley Bennett, Kelvin Harrison Jr., and Ben Mendelsohn.

<i>Spencer</i> (film) 2021 film by Pablo Larraín

Spencer is a 2021 historical psychological drama film directed by Pablo Larraín and written by Steven Knight. The film is about Princess Diana's existential crisis during the Christmas of 1991, as she considers divorcing Prince Charles and leaving the British royal family. Kristen Stewart and Jack Farthing star as Diana and Charles respectively, along with Jack Neilen and Freddie Spry as Prince William and Prince Harry, respectively. Also starring Timothy Spall, Sean Harris, and Sally Hawkins. It is the second film in Larraín's trilogy of 20th century iconic women, succeeding Jackie (2016) and preceding Maria (2024).

The 27th Critics' Choice Awards were presented on March 13, 2022, at the Fairmont Century Plaza Hotel in Los Angeles, California and the Savoy Hotel in London, honoring the finest achievements of filmmaking and television programming in 2021. The ceremony was simulcast on The CW and TBS, and hosted by Taye Diggs and Nicole Byer; this was Diggs' fourth consecutive time as host. The television nominations were announced on December 6, 2021. The film nominations were announced on December 13, 2021.

Woody Ace Norman is an English child actor. He is best known for his role as Jesse in the film C'mon C'mon (2021), for which he received a BAFTA nomination for Best Supporting Actor. He appeared on the Evening Standard list of Londoners to watch in 2022.

The 43rd London Film Critics' Circle Awards honoured the best in film of 2022, as chosen by the London Film Critics' Circle. All films released in a UK cinema or to premiere via streaming service between February 2022 and February 2023 were all eligible to be nominated. The ceremony was held on 5 February 2023 at The May Fair Hotel in London. The nominations were announced on 21 December 2022 by actors Ellie Bamber and Fionn O'Shea, while British comedian and actor Anna Leong Brophy hosted the ceremony. The Banshees of Inisherin received the most nominations with nine, followed by Aftersun with eight.
