London Misal is an Indian Marathi-language drama film directed by Jalindar Kumbhar. The film stars Bharat Jadhav, Rutuja Bagwe, Ritika Shrotri, Madhuri Pawar, Gaurav More, Nikhil Chavan, Rituraj Shinde and Sunil Godbole in lead roles. [1] Screenplay and dialogues are written by Omkar Mangesh Dutt. Vaishali Samant, Rohit Raut, Vaishnavi Sriram have composed the music for the film. The duo Sai-Piyush has made the background music, while songs of the film are written by Mandar Cholkar, Mangesh Kangane and Sameer Samant. [2]

The plot follows the story of two sisters who want to fulfil their father's unfinished dream. [3]

The film was released theatrically on 8 December 2023 throughout Maharashtra. [4] Initially it was scheduled to be released on 27 October 2023. [5]

Reception

Anub George of The Times of India rated 2.0/5 and wrote "London Misal is a no-brainer that suffers due to a predictable plot." [6] Film Information wrote "Jalindar Gangaram Kumbhar's direction is so-so. Music is ordinary. The title song is okay. Lyrics are functional. Sai-Piyush's background music is nothing to shout about. Uday Singh Mohite's camerawork is average. Art direction is proper. Manish Shirke's editing should've been tighter." [3]

"Kombadi Palali" is a Marathi-language song from the soundtrack album of the 2005 comedy film Jatra: Hyalagaad Re Tyalagaad, directed by Kedar Shinde, it was picturised on Bharat Jadhav and Kranti Redkar. The song was composed by Ajay-Atul, voiced by Anand Shinde, Vaishali Samant, with lyrics penned by Jitendra Joshi. It was adapted into Hindi as "Chikni Chameli" for the 2012 action drama Agneepath, featuring Hritik Roshan, Sanjay Dutt, and Katrina Kaif in the song. Kranti Redkar gained acclaim for her dancing prowess in the song.
