The London Ribfest is a festival held annually in London, Ontario, Canada on the weekend of Civic Holiday. It has been running since 1985 [1] and involves charity and home show exhibits. [2]
Three years after the London Ribfest festival first started, the Boys & Girls Clubs of London took over operations for 20 years. [1] In 2008, they decided to end their involvement with Ribfest, citing ongoing financial and sponsorship concerns. [1] The possible cancellation of another festival in London caused concerns with how the city handles its festivals. [3]
The city choose to pass the event to London-based company, Family Shows Canada, [4] and in 2009, Family Shows Canada took over the operations of London Ribfest.
The London Ribfest has since expanded their list of things to do and eat at the event. In 2010, the event had 225 exhibits, 100 live bands, cooking demonstrations, food vendors, and amusement rides. [2] [5]
2020 was on hiatus for the first time on grounds of COVID-19 pandemic.

The Sun God Festival is an annual campus festival at the University of California, San Diego. Its name references the Sun God, an on-campus statue by French artist Niki de Saint Phalle. Canada's Largest Ribfest is the name of an annual ribfest food festival held in Spencer Smith Park by the lake shore in Burlington, Ontario. The Burlington Lakeshore Rotary Club organizes the four-day-long Ribfest to raise money for charity during the Labour Day weekend.

Top Chef Canada is a Canadian reality competition television series. The show premiered on April 11, 2011, on Food Network Canada. The first season consisted of 13 episodes, with 16 contestants vying for a grand prize of $100,000 and a GE Monogram kitchen valued at $30,000. Like the original American series, each week the chef contestants compete against each other in culinary challenges. Contestants are judged by a panel of professional chefs and other notables from the food and wine industry, with one or more contestants being eliminated each week. The Canadian edition uses the same graphics and music as the American version of the program.

He is the owner, of the Indian cuisine restaurants Vij's and Rangoli Restaurant in Vancouver, British Columbia. He also owns My Shanti, a restaurant in South Surrey, BC which he closed in 2024. In 2014, Vij was announced as a new "dragon" investor on the Canadian reality show Dragons' Den for its ninth season and departed at the end of the season.
