London Shootfighters is a mixed martial arts gym and fight team based in London, [1] and founded in 1997 by Alexis Demetriades and Paul Ivens.

Promotions and management

London Shootfighters Gym is also involved in the promotion of Mixed Martial Arts Events having been running shows since MMA first gained its popularity in the UK. In 2004, they put on Extreme Force at Wembley, which was the first UK based show to take the sport out of night clubs and into a bigger arena. London Shootfighters also manages and promotes its fighters, having dealt with mixed martial arts shows around the world such as the UFC, DREAM and Sengoku all the way down to amateur shows.

Mixed martial arts (MMA), sometimes referred to as cage fighting, no holds barred (NHB), and ultimate fighting, is a full-contact combat sport based on striking, grappling and ground fighting, incorporating techniques from various combat sports and martial arts from around the world. Cage Rage Championships Mixed martial arts promoter based in UK

Cage Rage Championships, also known as Cage Rage, was a United Kingdom-based, mixed martial arts promotion that premiered on 7 September 2002 in London. Cage Rage went into liquidation and is now no longer trading. Cage Rage had been owned and managed by Elite XC until that company ceased operating, and the British promoters behind Cage Rage formed a new organization and withdrew all the old Cage Rage titles. Matchmaker and on-screen personality Dave O'Donnell was also a minority shareholder in the company. Fellow on-screen personality and co-promoter Andy Geer also owned a minority stake until he left the promotion in 2008. Cage Rage events were replayed on Nuts TV, along with their own weekday show on The Fight Network until these channels closed down. Every Cage Rage event and bout is now archived as part of the UFC FIGHT PASS library.

Takada Dojo Mixed martial arts academy in Tokyo, Japan

The Takada Dojo is a mixed martial arts academy in Tokyo, Japan. The dojo takes its name from Nobuhiko Takada its founder. Many members, including Takada, have participated in both professional wrestling and mixed martial arts. The dojo and its founder were heavily involved in the formative events of the Pride Fighting Championships.

American Top Team Mixed martial arts team

American Top Team (ATT) is one of the primary teams in mixed martial arts. The gym was founded by Dan Lambert, who brought in former members of Brazilian Top Team Marcus "Conan" Silveira, Marcelo Silveira and Ricardo Liborio, but there is no formal affiliation between the two teams. ATT's main academy is in Coconut Creek, Florida, and there are affiliated academies throughout the United States. ATT features professional fighters who have competed in many major promotions, such as the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), PRIDE Fighting Championships, DREAM, K-1, Strikeforce, Bellator and Professional Fighters League (PFL).

Gregory Jackson is an American mixed martial arts (MMA) trainer who co-owns Jackson Wink MMA Academy in Albuquerque, New Mexico, widely considered one of the top MMA training centers in the world. Jackson has trained many successful fighters, including former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones, former UFC Welterweight Champion Georges St-Pierre, former UFC Women's Bantamweight Champion Holly Holm, former Light Heavyweight Champion Rashad Evans, and a roster of other UFC contenders and World Extreme Cagefighting champions.

Lee Hasdell English kickboxer, combat sport promoter and mixed martial arts fighter

Lee Hasdell is a British martial artist, promoter and former professional kickboxer and mixed martial artist. Hasdell is considered by many to be a pioneer of mixed martial arts in the United Kingdom, particularly in the 1990s, when he drove a great deal of innovation in the field. Hasdell promoted the first professional mixed martial arts events in the UK and helped develop many of the standards within the British MMA scene of today.

Wolfslair MMA Academy A mixed martial arts team in Widnes, England

The Wolfslair MMA Academy was an English fight team and training camp for mixed martial artists and kickboxers, founded by mixed martial arts fans Anthony McGann and Lee Gwynn in 2004. It was headquartered in a former frozen sausage factory in Widnes, a small town near Liverpool. The academy earned publicity when it began training and managing UFC fighters such as American UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Quinton Jackson, English future UFC Middleweight Champion Michael Bisping, and French UFC heavyweight competitor Cheick Kongo. With these signings, it became noted as one of the most prominent training stables in the UK's MMA scene from 2006 until its closure in 2012.

Nicholas Dominic Osipczak is an English professional mixed martial artist, most famous for his fights and wins in the welterweight division of the UFC. He was also a cast member of Spike TV's The Ultimate Fighter: United States vs. United Kingdom. Nick is also known for being one of the first people in history to represent the art of Tai Chi Chuan in Mixed Martial Arts competitions.

Team Rough House is a Mixed martial arts team from the East Midlands, England. Based in Nottingham and Leicester, the team is known for producing well respected welterweight fighters. Although each fighter follows their own personal regime, everyone attends the weekly squad sessions.
