Long Apari is a district located in Mahakam Ulu Regency, East Kalimantan Province, Indonesia. This district is located in the western part of the province and borders Sarawak, Malaysia to the north. [1]

Muaro Jambi Regency is a regency of Jambi Province, Sumatra, Indonesia. It was created on 4 October 1999 by the separation of what were formerly the eastern districts of Batang Hari Regency. It surrounds on all sides the major city of Jambi, the provincial capital, and includes many of the expanding suburbs of Jambi outside the city boundaries; consequently it has experienced population growth greater than elsewhere in the province. From the 4th until the 13th century, it was the seat of the Hindu-Buddhist Melayu Kingdom. It has an area of 5,264.00 km2 and had a population of 342,952 at the 2010 census and 390,347 at the 2020 census; the official estimate as at mid 2023 is 418,799.

Datah Dawai Airport is an airport in Long Lunuk, Long Pahangai, Mahakam Ulu Regency, East Kalimantan, Indonesia. It is the only airport in Mahakam Ulu, providing the only air service in the area. Susi Air has one daily flight from Datah Dawai to Samarinda, for a total of 12 seats daily. The airport was located near Kapuas River, the longest river in Borneo and the longest river in Indonesia. It was surrounded by high trees and green forest.

<i>Hudoq</i> Indonesian traditional dance

Hudoq is a masked dance performed during the Erau harvest thanksgiving festival by many of the sub-groups of the Dayak ethnic group in East Kalimantan province, Indonesia. The Hudoq culture and performance are indigenous to the Dayak population of East Kalimantan province, and they are said to have originated from Mahakam Ulu Regency.

Kutai is a historical region in what is now the Indonesian province of East Kalimantan on the island of Borneo. The region shares its name with the native ethnic group of the region, with a total population around 300,000, who have their own language known as the Kutainese language which accompanies their own rich history. Today, the name is preserved in the names of three regencies in East Kalimantan province which are the Kutai Kartanegara Regency, the West Kutai Regency and East Kutai Regency with the major river flowing in the heart of the region known as the Mahakam River. Mahakam Ulu Regency is a regency (kabupaten) in the province of East Kalimantan, Indonesia. As the name implies, it comprises the upper valley of the Mahakam River. It covers an area of 18,427.81 km2. The regency was established on 14 December 2012, formed from the former northern districts of West Kutai Regency. The districts now forming the regency held a combined population of 24,994 at the 2010 Census; the population for the new regency at the 2020 Census was 32,513; the official estimate as at mid 2023 was 38,498. The administrative capital is at Ujoh Bilang, which had 3,527 inhabitants as at mid 2022. It is the only regency in East Kalimantan to share an international land border with the Malaysian state of Sarawak.

Tiong Ohang is a village (kampung) in the Long Apari district, Mahakam Ulu Regency, East Kalimantan, Indonesia. The village is located near the Müller Mountains on the banks of the Mahakam River. The village is connected via a suspension bridge to the village of Tiong Bu'u, which is located on the opposite bank of the river. The village has a high school and government administrative services counter.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Bonifasius Belawan Geh</span> Indonesian businessman and politician (born 1962)

Bonifasius Belawan Geh, also known popularly as "Mr. Boni", is an Indonesian businessman and politician who is currently serving as the regent of Mahakam Ulu. He is the first elected to the regency since its creation, after the separation of the regency from West Kutai, having previously been led by two acting regents. As regent, he initiated several infrastructure programs in the region, including the first asphalt-sealed road in the regency to alleviate the region's remoteness.
