Longman (stylized as LONGMAN) is a Japanese punk rock band formed in 2012 in Matsuyama, Ehime Prefecture, currently consisting of Sawa Yoriki, Hiroya Hirai and Yuki Horikawa. They released their first studio album, Neverland in 2014, and made their major label debut with Sony Music Entertainment Japan in 2020 with their third album Just A Boy.
The band was formed from a music club at Matsuyama University, and made their debut in 2013 with the EP Stay Hungry, Stay Foolish. Longman have released 5 studio albums, their fourth, This Is Youth, peaking at 20th on the Oricon Albums Chart. In 2023, their song Spiral released as the opening theme to the first cour of the second season of Mushoku Tensei.
Longman formed in 2012 from a music club at Matsuyama University. [1] The band name comes from the Longman English-Japanese Dictionary. Member Hiroya Hirai told an interviewer in 2015: "I was looking for good words in that dictionary, and when I closed it thinking, 'I can't find it', I looked at the cover and thought, 'This is it'. The band released their first full-length album, Neverland, in July 2014.[ citation needed ]
They released their second mini album, tick, in August 2015. [3] The album won the Shikoku Block Award at 8th CD Shop Award. [4]
The band's second full-length album, So Young, was released in November 2016. [5]
Longman temporarily suspended live activities from June 2017 [6] to July 2018 [7] while member Sawa Yoriki received treatment for health issues related to her throat. The group resumed live activities with a concert in Ehime Prefecture. [7]
The group's third mini album, Walking, was released in September 2018. [8]
On March 10, 2019, during a concert in Matsuyama, Longman announced they had signed to major label Sony Music Associated Records. [9] The group made its major label debut in November with the single "Wish On", which served as the ending theme for Boruto: Naruto Next Generations.[ citation needed ]
The group released the album Just A Boy in February 2020. The album features the song "Replay", the theme song for the TV Tokyo drama Yuru Camp△ .[ citation needed ]
In April 2021, the group released the album This Is Youth, which includes the song "Hello Youth", the theme song for the TV Tokyo drama Yuru Camp△2.[ citation needed ]
The group released the EP Lyra (ライラ) in May 2022. The title track of the same name served as the ending theme for Yomiuri TV/Nippon TV anime series Love All Play .[ citation needed ]
In 2023, Longman released "Spiral", the opening theme for the second season of Mushoku Tensei. They released the full-length album 10/4 in October. [10]

Mucc is a Japanese visual kei rock band, formed in Ibaraki Prefecture in 1997. The classic line up of Tatsuro on vocals, Miya on guitar, Yukke on bass, and Satochi on drums was solidified in 1999 following the departure of original bassist Hiro. After 24 years, Satochi retired from the music industry in October 2021, leaving Mucc a trio. They have released 16 studio albums, with 2020's Aku being their highest-charting. Although predominately a heavy band both lyrically and musically, Mucc is known for switching between music genres and styles frequently. Kerrang! included their fourth studio album Kuchiki no Tō (2004) on a list of 13 essential Japanese rock and metal albums.
The Predators is a Japanese rock supergroup formed in 2005 by vocalist and guitarist Sawao Yamanaka, bassist Yoshihito "Jiro" Wayama (Glay), and drummer Shinpei Nakayama (Straightener). In 2010, Nakayama left and was replaced by Hirotaka Takahashi (Ellegarden). Originally on their own record label Three Mountain, name chosen because all three original members have the word "yama" (mountain) in their last name, they were then on Avex Trax from 2008 until 2015, when they switched to Yamanaka's own Delicious Label. The Predators have sporadic periods of activity due to its members' commitments to their main bands.
Ken is a Japanese musician and singer-songwriter, best known as guitarist of the rock band L'Arc-en-Ciel. After he joined them in 1992, they went on to sell over 40 million records, making them one of the best-selling music artists in Japan. He has written a breadth of L'Arc-en-Ciel's material, including "Vivid Colors", "The Fourth Avenue Cafe", "Niji", "Kasou", "My Heart Draws a Dream", "Daybreak's Bell" and "Chase". Ken was also the vocalist and guitarist of the rock trio Sons of All Pussys, and has released a solo album entitled In Physical.
Ehime Football Club commonly known as Ehime FC is a professional football club based in Matsuyama, the capital city of Ehime Prefecture of Japan. The club currently compete in J2 League, the second tier of Japanese professional football. They returned to J2 League in 2024, following promotion as third-tier league champions of 2023.
Style is the fifth studio album by Japanese rock band Luna Sea, released on April 22, 1996. It was the band's last on the record label MCA Victor, became their first number one on the Oricon Albums Chart, and charted for 21 weeks. In 1996, it was certified Platinum by the RIAJ for sales over 400,000. Luna Sea re-recorded the entire album and released it on November 29, 2023, through Avex Trax.

Tourbillon are a Japanese rock trio formed in 2005 by Luna Sea members Ryuichi Kawamura (vocals) and Inoran (guitar), and D-Loop member Hiroaki "H. Hayama" Hayama (keyboards). They reached number three on the Oricon Singles Chart with "Break the Chain", the opening theme of the TV series Kamen Rider Kiva. The group ended activities in 2008 shortly after its release. Tourbillon reunited in 2015, and again in 2023.
9mm Parabellum Bullet is a Japanese rock band, formed in March 2004 in Yokohama. It consists of vocalist and rhythm guitarist Takuro Sugawara, guitarist and backing vocalist Yoshimitsu Taki, bassist Kazuhiko Nakamura, and drummer Chihiro Kamijo, who came up with the band's name. Piano pieces included in some songs are performed by Taki, while the characteristic shouts are provided by Nakamura.
Razzle Dazzle is the seventeenth album by Japanese rock band Buck-Tick, released on October 13, 2010. Graphic artist Aquirax Uno provided the illustrations for the album's cover. The limited edition came with a DVD of music videos and an interview. It reached number six on both the Oricon chart and Billboard Japan, selling 20,384 copies.

In August 2005, Takei released the single "Sekai Tomete", which served as the ending theme song for the Japanese animated television series, Case Closed. The song reached number 27 in Japan and became her best-selling single in her career.
Glim Spanky is a Japanese rock band from Nagano Prefecture, consisting of vocalist and rhythm guitarist Remi Matsuo and lead guitarist Hiroki Kamemoto. Originally formed by Matsuo as a quartet for a high school festival in 2007, the group became a duo when they moved to Tokyo to pursue music professionally in February 2010. Glim Spanky signed to Virgin Music in 2014, and released their first full-length album, Sunrise Journey, the following year. They have since released six studio albums, with 2017's Bizarre Carnival being their highest-charting to date.
