Lonnie V. Hunter III (born July 20, 1965) is an American gospel musician. He started his music career, in 1998, with the release of Lonnie Hunter & The Voices of St. Mark by Muscle Shoals Records. His second album, Next Level, was released by Muscle Shoals in 2003. The third album, I'm Back, was released by Black Smoke Music Worldwide in 2011. This was his breakthrough album on the Billboard magazine charts placing on the Billboard 200 along with the Gospel Albums and Independent Albums chart. As of 2015, he is signed to Tyscot Records, for his next release. Hunter is the voice of the 2015 Stellar Awards.

Early life

Hunter was born on July 20, 1965, [1] in Harvey, Illinois, [2] as Lonnie V. Hunter III, [3] to father Lonnie V. Hunter, Jr. and mother Marie. [4] He has a sister, Cherie, which Lonnie is the youngest of five children. [4] Hunter received his bachelor's degree in Public Administration/Public Relations by Western Illinois University. [4] He served five years in the U.S. Air Force, and was part of their Jazz band. [4]

Music career

His music career began in 1998, with the release of Lonnie Hunter & The Voices of St. Mark on June 23, 1998 by Muscle Shoals Records. [5] His subsequent album with the label, Next Level, was released on February 25, 2003. [5] The third album, I'm Back, was released by Black Smoke Entertainment Worldwide on April 26, 2011. [5] This was his breakthrough released on three Billboard magazine charts, and those placements were on The Billboard 200 at No. 135 along with the Gospel Albums at No. 4 and No. 18 on the Independent Albums chart. [6] Hunter was signed to Tyscot Records, in early 2015, for the release of his next album. He was named the voice of the 2015 Stellar Awards. For several years, he was host of the syndicated Lonnie Hunter Show which broadcast on Radio One. In addition to playing contemporary Gospel music, Lonnie's show featured Clues & Categories game and a weekly Talent Show. His humor, love for music and ministry made the show a top-rated show across the country and revealed Lonnie's genuine love for the people of God as he offered laughter, wisdom and good counsel to his many listeners seeking his advice.

Personal life

Hunter resides in New Jersey and serves as Pastor of Worship of the 26,000 member Bethany Baptist Church in Lindenwold, NJ.

Reverend Oscar Eason Hayes, was an American gospel musician and leader of The Abundant Life Fellowship Chorale. He started his music career, in 1991, with the release of Got 2 Tell It by Tyscot Records. His second album, Simply Determined, was released in 1993 by Tyscot Records, and this was his breakthrough release upon the Billboard magazine Gospel Albums chart. The third release, Choir Music, Vol. 1: Live in New Orleans, came out in 2001 from Sound of Gospel and this placed on the aforementioned chart.

Minister Cedric LeVance Ford is an American gospel musician and leader of Worship Unlimited, currently based out of Houston, Texas because he is the music minister at Reflections of Christ Church. His first album, Featuring Visions: A Choral Ministry, was released by Muscle Shoals Records in 2000, and produced by Dorothy Norwood. He released, Created 2 Worship, with Tyscot Records in 2009, and this was a Billboard magazine breakthrough release upon the Gospel Albums chart at number 34. He was nominated for a NAACP Theatre Award for his role in The Fabric of a Man by David E. Talbert.

Roy Keith Pringle is an American gospel musician and organist, who is the founder of Pentecostal Community Choir. His first album, "Let Everything That Has Breath Praise the Lord", was released in 1979. He went on to release more albums with Savoy Records, Hopesong Records, Heartwarming Records, Muscle Shoals Records, Malaco Records, and Platinum Entertainment. Five of these albums would chart on the Billboard Gospel Albums chart. He received a Grammy Award-nomination for the song "Call Him Up" that was on the 1980 album "True Victory".

Tiffany Joy McGhee, who goes by the stage name Tiff Joy, is an American urban contemporary gospel artist and musician. She started her music career, in 2014, by performing on an album by Ricky Dillard. Her first studio album, TIFF JOY, was released on September 25, 2015 by WalkWay Music Group, VMan Entertainment, and Tyscot Records. This album was her breakthrough release upon the Billboard magazine charts.

Danetra Shari Moore is an American urban contemporary gospel artist and musician. She started her music career, in 2012, by performing on Sunday Best on BET. Her first studio album, Light in the Dark, was released on September 11, 2015 by Tyscot Records. This album was her breakthrough release upon the Billboard magazine charts.

Lucinda Moore is an American urban contemporary gospel, traditional black gospel, and gospel music recording artist and musician. She started her music career in 1989, and her first studio album, Lucinda Moore, was released by Tyscot Records in 2006. Her second album, Blessed, Broken & Given, was released in 2010, by them. These albums both achieved placements on the Billboard magazine charts.
