Look See Proof were a five-piece indie pop-rock band from Hertfordshire.
Hertfordshire is one of the home counties in England. It is bordered by Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire to the north, Essex to the east, Greater London to the south, and Buckinghamshire to the west. For government statistical purposes, it is placed in the East of England region.
Founded in 2006, Look See Proof played in venues across the UK supporting bands like The Fratellis, The Rifles, Foals, The Dykeenies, Breaks Co-Op, Good Shoes, The Twang, and The Holloways.
The Fratellis are a Scottish rock band from Glasgow, formed in 2005. The band consists of lead vocalist and guitarist Jon Fratelli, bass guitarist Barry Fratelli, and drummer and backing vocalist Mince Fratelli. Their singles "Chelsea Dagger" and "Whistle for the Choir" were both top ten hits in the UK charts.
The Rifles are an English indie rock band from Chingford, London.
Foals are a rock band from Oxford, England formed in 2005, consisting of lead vocalist and lead guitarist Yannis Philippakis, drummer and percussionist Jack Bevan, rhythm guitarist Jimmy Smith, and keyboardist Edwin Congreave.

Glastonbury is the largest greenfield festival in the world, and is now attended by around 175,000 people, requiring extensive infrastructure in terms of security, transport, water, and electricity supply. The majority of staff are volunteers, helping the festival to raise millions of pounds for charity organisations.
Camden Crawl was a music festival in Camden, London, which first appeared in 1995 and then was held annually from 2005 to 2014.
The Great Escape Festival is a three-day music festival held in Brighton and Hove, England every year in May. It is operated by MAMA Festivals and showcases new music from a variety of genres. The festival was founded in 2006 and roughly hosts 300 bands across 30 venues throughout the city. It has been likened to South by Southwest.
The band released two singles on Tigertrap Records ('Tell Me Tell Me Tell Me'/'Start Again' and 'Discussions'/'Singles The New Together') and were asked to perform live for Steve Lamacq's show on Radio 1 at Maida Vale. First single 'Tell Me Tell Me Tell Me' was awarded "single of the week" on Steve Lamacq's BBC6 Music show and sold out within a week of its release date. The two singles were also played by Fearne Cotton, John Kennedy, Marc Riley, and Chris Moyles.
Tigertrap Records is a London-based record label, which was set up in late 2005 by Drowned In Sound writers Tom Edwards and Adie Nunn. The label released a series of singles through 2006, concentrating on unbroken talent. During this time, former Warp Records employee Gill Barker joined to manage the label's business affairs. Their first single, 586's We Got Bored became a sizeable indie club hit and NME awarded it 'Runner Up Single Of The Week' in May '06. The second release was Lowlife by Scanners, which went on to be featured in a Jeff Bridges film, Mama's Boy. The band released their debut album on Dim Mak.
Stephen Paul Lamacq, sometimes known by his nickname Lammo, is an English disc jockey, currently working with the BBC radio station BBC Radio 6 Music.
Fearne Wood, known professionally by her maiden name Fearne Cotton, is an English television and radio presenter. She is known for presenting a number of popular television programmes such as Top of the Pops and the Red Nose Day telethons.
Third single 'Casualty' was released on Weekender Records, and won Rebel Playlist on Steve Lamacq's show and received a warm reception from NME, with the video directed by Barry Sells (brother of David and Lee) receiving airtime on MTV2.
Weekender Records was an Artist Management Company and an independent record label, based in London, England, it also had a sister company based in Berlin Germany. The company closed in March 2010.
The fourth single 'Local Hero' was released on Weekender Records, to whom Look See Proof had been signed. The video received air time on MTV2.
The band also played "Casualty" on Lily Allen's talk show, Lily Allen and Friends , after being voted to play by viewers.
Lily Rose Beatrice Cooper, known professionally as Lily Allen, is an English singer and songwriter. She is the daughter of actor Keith Allen and film producer Alison Owen. Allen left school when she was 15 and concentrated on improving her performing and compositional skills. In 2005, she made some of her recordings public on Myspace and the publicity resulted in airplay on BBC Radio 1 and a contract with Regal Recordings.
Lily Allen and Friends was a British TV talk show presented by Lily Allen. The programme was produced by Princess Productions for BBC Three. It was first shown on 12 February 2008.
Having parted ways with Weekender, Look See Proof finished the year with a successful European tour and returned to the studio to begin demoing for a second album. In the second half of 2008 they enlisted guitar tech Jaime Randall to play tambourine and keyboards.
On 31 July 2009, they played their last gig in Hitchin, Hertfordshire before splitting.
Since splitting, former members and brothers Lee Sells and David Sells have formed a new band called Burial Club which includes 2 new members.

Arctic Monkeys are an English rock band formed in 2002 in High Green, a suburb of Sheffield. The band consists of Alex Turner, Matt Helders, Jamie Cook and Nick O'Malley. Former band member Andy Nicholson left the band in 2006 shortly after their debut album was released.

The Cribs are an English indie rock band originally from Wakefield, West Yorkshire. The band consists of twins Gary and Ryan Jarman and their younger brother Ross Jarman. They were subsequently joined by ex-The Smiths and Modest Mouse guitarist Johnny Marr who was a formal member of the group from 2008 until 2011. The band, who first became active on the concert circuit in 2002, were initially tied to other like-minded UK bands of that time, most notably The Libertines, by a British music press that were looking for a 'British rearguard' to the wave of popular US alternative rock bands of the time. They had outgrown this tag by the time of the commercial success of their third LP. In 2008, Q magazine described the band as "The biggest cult band in the UK".
The Music were an English alternative rock band, formed in Kippax, Leeds in 1999. Comprising Robert Harvey, Adam Nutter, Stuart Coleman (bass) and Phil Jordan (drums), the band came to prominence with the release of their debut album, The Music, in 2002. The band released two further studio albums, Welcome to the North (2004) and Strength in Numbers (2008), before parting ways in 2011.
28 Costumes, also known as the Cossies, are a Liverpool pop band. They signed to Spank Records in late 2003 and released four singles and an album with the label. Their album, The Fake Death Experience was reviewed positively in, amongst other publications, The Independent and Artrocker magazine. The band have since released the EP Electrical Fever on Invicta Hi Fi Records, and self-released the single "Erika" / "Death Mask".
Little Man Tate were a four-piece indie rock band from Sheffield, England who formed in 2005. They broke up in 2009. The band quickly began attracting interest from several record labels and in March 2006 signed to V2 Records, later parting ways in November 2007. Their fifth single, "Sexy in Latin" was released on 22 January and became their highest charting single.

Letters & Colours were an English band from Sheffield who became known for their combination of early 1980s new wave and disco beats. They gained recognition along with the New Yorkshire and nu rave scenes, and groups such as Bloc Party, Interpol, Editors and The Departure. They list The Cure, Depeche Mode and The Smiths as influences and were compared to such groups, as well as Joy Division, Echo & the Bunnymen, Bauhaus, Artery and Comsat Angels. Letters & Colours combined a heavy, repetitive rhythm section with lush, melodic guitar and haunting vocals. This created a bleak sound with a danceable quality, often referred to as "noir pop". The band was formed in 2003 as a two piece, before extending to four members; ultimately splitting in August 2007.
