Louie Castro (born August 18, 1999) is an American influencer, make-up artist, YouTuber, content creator. He has become one of the most prominent male beauty personalities in the Latinx and LGBTQ+ communities.

He has collaborated with major notable brands such as Morphe Cosmetics, Tarte Cosmetics and won the Premios Juventud Award for the Best LOL Moment category and American Influencer Award fir Trendsetter of the Year in 2020.

Life and career

Castro was born in Watsonville, California, United States. He was raised in a Mexican-American family alongside his two sisters, Andrea and Yoatzi Castro, the latter of whom is also a YouTuber and social media influencer. [1] [2] He later enrolled at California State University, Monterey Bay, where he studied communication and media studies. [3] [4]

Castro began his online career in 2014, when he launched his YouTube channel Louie’s Life. [5] [6] By 2016, he had gained recognition for blending beauty and comedy, often sharing honest stories about his personal life and experiences as a young Latino content creator. [7] [8]

In 2017, Castro grew significantly on social media platforms such as Instagram and TikTok, where he became known for his entertaining skits and creative makeup looks as he began collaborating with other influencers includes James Charles, Patrick Starrr, Daus Mendoza and brands within the beauty community. [9] In 2020, he won Premios Juventud Award for Mejor LOL (Best LOL Moment), recognizing his comedic and authentic digital content and his fanbase expanded further after several of his TikTok videos went viral, establishing him as one of the most recognized male beauty creators in the United States. In 2021, Castro collaborated with Morphe Cosmetics on the Sweetest Tea Collection and Pica Pica for Louie Castro x Pica Pica collection. [12] [13] By 2022, he partnered with several additional beauty and lifestyle brands, including Beauty Creations, VCEE Beauty, Tarte Cosmetics, and Dime Optics. [14]
