Vince Clarke English synth-pop musician

Vince Clarke is an English synth-pop musician and songwriter. Clarke has been the main composer and musician of the band Erasure since its inception in 1985, and was previously the main songwriter of several groups, including Depeche Mode, Yazoo, and the Assembly. In Erasure he is well known for his deadpan and low-key onstage demeanour, often remaining motionless over his keyboard, in sharp contrast to Andy Bell's animated and hyperactive frontman antics. Erasure have recorded over 200 songs and have sold over 25 million albums worldwide. Vince Clarke was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2020 as a member of Depeche Mode.

Patty Smyth American singer and songwriter

Patricia Smyth is an American singer and songwriter. She first came into national attention with the rock band Scandal and went on to record and perform as a solo artist. Her distinctive voice and new wave image gained broad exposure through video recordings aired on cable music video channels such as MTV. Her debut solo album Never Enough was well received, and generated a pair of Top 100 hits. In the early 1990s she reached the Top 10 with the hit single "Sometimes Love Just Ain't Enough," a duet with Don Henley of the Eagles. She performed and co-wrote with James Ingram the song "Look What Love Has Done" for the 1994 motion picture Junior. The work earned her a Grammy Award nomination for Best Song Written for Visual Media, as well as an Academy Award nomination for Best Original Song. Smyth married retired tennis player John McEnroe in 1997.

Young Americans is an American drama television series created by Steven Antin. The show debuted on July 12, 2000 on The WB network as a summer replacement for, and spin-off from another Columbia TriStar Television production, Dawson's Creek. The series was originally ordered for the 1999–2000 television season with a planned fall debut, but was delayed due to unresolved matters between Columbia TriStar and The WB. The main character, Will Krudski, was introduced late in season three of Dawson's Creek as a childhood friend of the group who has kept in contact with Pacey Witter. The show explores themes of forbidden love, morality, social classes and gender roles.

Scandalous! 1989 single by Prince

"Scandalous" is the eighth track on Prince's soundtrack album Batman and was released as the album's fourth single, five months after the album was released. The music is attributed to Prince and his father, John L. Nelson. A maxi single was released after the single titled The Scandalous Sex Suite, which contained a three part 19 minute suite of the song "Scandalous", with the three parts named The Crime, The Passion, and The Rapture. Kim Basinger, who was dating Prince at time and who also played the character Vicki Vale in Batman, also appeared on the maxi single.

The Peel Sessions was the 1988 EP release of the session The Cure recorded on 4 December 1978 for BBC Radio 1's John Peel show. The session was broadcast on 11 December 1978. The recordings were released on 12" vinyl, CD and cassette in 1988. Music journalist Jeff Apter has called the session "just the seal of credibility the band needed".

That's Amore! is a reality television show that aired on MTV in early 2008. It is a spin-off of MTV's A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila. The show stars Domenico Nesci, who had been a contestant on A Shot at Love. One of the other contestants from the previous show, Ashley McNeely, helps Nesci find his true love as his consigliere. During the run of the series, 15 American women compete for Domenico's heart in a series of challenges. The winner was Megan Mirilovich.

Kerli is the debut self-titled EP by Estonian singer-songwriter Kerli. It was released on October 16, 2007, 17 through Island Records. After being signed to Island in 2006, Kerli began producing her debut album Love Is Dead and released the EP as a teaser for the album. The music from the EP is influenced by genres such as electropop, alternative rock, and pop rock while its lyrical topics include individuality and rebellion. From the three-song release, which contains the cover of Bauhaus' "She's in Parties", "Walking on Air" and "Love Is Dead" were later included in Love Is Dead (2008). Kerli received a positive review for its musical diversity.

Metal Queen – B-Sides & Rarities is a double CD compilation album released in 2007 under the label No Remorse Records, containing songs of the German hard rock singer Doro Pesch. It is unclear if this is a fully licensed compilation, an unofficial release or even a pirated publication. The album is not present in the discography section of Doro's official site and Discogs lists the album as an "unofficial release pretending to be released under No Remorse Records label". On the contrary, Encyclopaedia Metallum lists it as an official compilation.

Got7 South Korean boy band

Got7 is a South Korean boy band formed by JYP Entertainment. The group is composed of seven members: JB, Mark, Jackson, Jinyoung, Youngjae, BamBam, and Yugyeom. Got7 debuted in January 2014 with the release of their first EP Got It?, which peaked at number two on the Gaon Album Chart and number one on Billboard's World Albums Chart. The group gained attention also for their live performances, which often includes elements of martial arts tricking and street dancing.

<i>Moog for Love</i> 2016 EP by Disclosure

Moog for Love is the sixth extended play recorded by British electronic music duo Disclosure, consisting of brothers Howard and Guy Lawrence. The three-track record was released on 15 June 2016, by the labels Island and PMR Records. 2016 was a year where the duo were developing their skills of writing material while on the road. Its title is named after the 1952 Eddie Jefferson song "Moody's Mood for Love". They did not have enough material to produce a full-length album, but wanted to have a record released for the summer of that year regardless. Featuring collaborations with Eats Everything and Al Green, the album garnered generally mixed to positive reviews from music critics, some calling it a significant improvement over the duo's second studio LP Caracal (2015). Upon its release, the album landed at number 80 on the Australian Singles Chart.
