Lovely is an unincorporated community located in Martin County, Kentucky, United States.
A post office called Lovely has been in operation since 1931. [2] Lovely was the name of the town's merchant, Samuel Dorsey Lovely. [3] A folk etymology maintains the community was so named on account of the "lovely" scenery of the original town site. [4]
Lovely has a lending library, a branch of the Martin County Public Library. [5]
