"Lovers le Strange" is the debut EP from Sydney band Expatriate. The line-up was Ben King, Chris Kollias and Damien Press. Tim Rogers had already left the band by this stage.
The cover photo was taken by Matt O'Brien. The artwork is very closely modelled upon René Magritte's work The Lovers. It is speculated that the EP's title is an inside joke relating to the artwork, possibly suggesting that the piece The Lovers is strange.

The Slits were a punk and post-punk band formed in London in 1976 by members of the groups the Flowers of Romance and the Castrators. The group's early line-up consisted of Ari Up and Palmolive, with Viv Albertine and Tessa Pollitt replacing founding members Kate Korus and Suzy Gutsy. Their 1979 debut album, Cut, has been called one of the defining releases of the post-punk era.
The Supermen Lovers is the stage name of French composer and electronic record producer Guillaume Atlan. Following his 2001 hit single "Starlight", Atlan was nominated at the French contest Victoires de la Musique in 2002, and at the 2001 MTV Europe Music Awards for Best French Artist.
Underground Lovers, are an Australian indie rock and electronic music band. The founding mainstays are Glenn Bennie and Vincent Giarrusso who had formed the group as GBVG, in 1988. By May 1990 the duo were renamed as Underground Lovers and joined by Richard Andrew (drums), Maurice Argiro and Philippa Nihill.
The 3Ds were a New Zealand noise pop band based from Dunedin, together from 1988 to 1997. They recorded three albums and several EPs, the best known of which is The Venus Trail (1993). They achieved commercial and critical success worldwide in the period between 1992 and 1995.
Halifax is a four-piece rock band from Thousand Oaks, California. They formed in 2003 and are currently unsigned. Their 2004 EP A Writer's Reference has sold over 60,000 copies to date, after making a cameo appearance on MTV's The Real World: Austin. The band's second full-length album, The Inevitability of a Strange World, was released in May 2006 and charted on the Billboard 200, and debuted #1 on the Billboard Heatseekers In December 2006, they won MTV2's Dew Circuit Breakout competition.
Plexi was an American gothic noise rock band consisting of Michael Angelos, Michael Barragan and Norm Block. Formed in 1993, their original name was Godseed. Their sound has been compared to bands such as Bauhaus, Sonic Youth, The Cure, Bailter Space, Swervedriver, The Psychedelic Furs, My Bloody Valentine and Psi Com. Plexi's material combined a mix of detached, wry, existential, and romantic lyrics with a flamboyant blend of glam rock and artsy avant-garde textures and noise. Guitarist Michael Barragan was known for regular use of an Echoplex unit to create chaotic walls of sound.
The Getaway Plan is a rock band from Melbourne, Australia, that was formed in 2004. The band consists of lead vocalist, pianist and rhythm guitarist, Matthew Wright, lead guitarist, Clint Ellis, bassist, Mike Maio and drummer, Dan Maio.
Wayne Connolly is an Australian producer/engineer and musician. Throughout the 1990s, Connolly played in Sydney band, The Welcome Mat, with whom he released a series of critically acclaimed albums and EPs on the Waterfront Records, Regular Records and id/Mercury labels. In 1994, he formed Knievel with Tracy Ellis and Nick Kennedy, who went on to release five albums and a series of singles on various labels in Australia, the United States and Japan including Murmur, Citadel Records and Albert Music. Knievel achieved high rotation on Triple J, toured locally and abroad, and supported acts such as Luna, Teenage Fanclub, Death Cab for Cutie and The Pernice Brothers.

The band had previously revealed on Myspace that they hoped to have the album released by February 2007, however it was released in Australia on 21 April. "The Spaces Between" is the first United States single from Sydney band Expatriate's debut album In the Midst of This. The song had come in at number nine in the American Alternative Airplay Chart. It is generally considered their most popular song to date.

The band, commonly known by the initials APTBS, play a heavy, atmospheric Wall of Sound–influenced blend of psychedelic rock, shoegaze and space rock.
Iconcrash is an electrorock/darkwave band from Helsinki, Finland, formed by vocalist composer Jaani Peuhu. Now the band members include Arttu Juntunen, keyboard and backup vocals, Riku-Niilo Mattila bass, Matti Toivonen, guitar and Oskari Vilmunen, drums. The English-Finnish record company Parole Records published their debut album Nude in spring 2005, after which the live band was assembled.
Water Curses is an EP by Animal Collective released in May 2008 on compact disc. 12" vinyl format was released on June 3. The first three tracks were recorded by Scott Colburn during the band's Strawberry Jam sessions in January 2007. The EP's fourth and final track, "Seal Eyeing", was recorded at Nicolas Vernhes' Rare Book Room Studio in Brooklyn, New York. Vernhes was also charged with the mixing duties for all four tracks. According to a press release issued by the band, Water Curses "find[s] Animal Collective exploring strange new waters."
Still Corners are a British/American dream pop band formed in 2007 consisting of songwriter/producer Greg Hughes and vocalist Tessa Murray.
"This Fire" is a song written and recorded by Australian alternative rock band Birds of Tokyo. It was included on their third extended play (EP) of the same name and for their fourth studio album, March Fires (2013). The song appears as the second track on the album. The Single artwork is by Leif Podhajsky. The song came in at number 51 on the Triple J Hottest 100, 2012. Sales towards "This Fire" counted towards the EP which peaked at number 32 and was certified gold in 2013.
Space Travel, Rock 'n' Roll is the seventh and final EP release by English alternative rock band Swervedriver. It was released on 10 February 1998 through Zero Hour, Shock Records, and Sonic Wave Discs record labels. The EP was released with the single format in Australia.
