Luc Bendza (born July 6,1969) is a Gabonese-Chinese actor and martial artist. [1] [2] He is known for his role as boxer Jesse Glover in The Legend of Bruce Lee .
Luc Bendza was born in Koulamoutou,Gabon.[ citation needed ] Luc's father was born in Koulamoutou,Gabon,and immigrated to the United States in the 1930s.[ citation needed ]
In 2016,the Gabonese film director,producer and editor Samantha Biffot made the documentary The African Who Wanted to Fly about him. [3] [4] It won the Special Jury Award at Gabon's 10th International Documentary Film Festival. [5]
Bendza appeared as Jesse Glover in The Legend of Bruce Lee .[ citation needed ] The 50 episodes long series was produced and broadcast by CCTV and had been aired since 12 October 2008.
Luc became a wushu martial artist in the 1980s. His fighting training promoting company,"Wushu Luc Productions",signed world champion Wushu Alain Mas and diams Mavh.[ citation needed ]
Luc Bendza resides in Beijing,China.
After Luc's request that his acting and life experiences be accepted in exchange for his remaining needed college credits to graduate,he was granted a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree by the president of the Beijing Sports University,in 1999. [6]

Li Lianjie,better known by his stage name Jet Li,is a Chinese film actor,film producer,martial artist,and retired Wushu champion. He is a naturalized Singaporean citizen.
In general,kung fu/kungfu refers to the Chinese martial arts also called wushu and quanfa. In China,it refers to any study,learning,or practice that requires patience,energy,and time to complete. In its original meaning,kung fu can refer to any discipline or skill achieved through hard work and practice,not necessarily martial arts. The Chinese literal equivalent of "Chinese martial art" would be 中國武術zhōngguówǔshù.
Bruce Lee was a Hong Kong and American martial artist and actor. He was the founder of Jeet Kune Do,a hybrid martial arts philosophy drawing from different combat disciplines that is often credited with paving the way for modern mixed martial arts (MMA). Lee is considered by critics,media,and other martial artists to be the most influential martial artist of all time and a pop culture icon of the 20th century,who bridged the gap between East and West. Bruceploitation is an exploitation film subgenre that emerged after the death of martial arts film star Bruce Lee in 1973,where filmmakers from Hong Kong,Taiwan and South Korea cast Bruce Lee look-alike actors ("Lee-alikes") to star in imitation martial arts films,in order to exploit Lee's sudden international popularity. Bruce Lee look-alike characters also commonly appear in other media,including anime,comic books,manga,and video games.

Jesse Raymond Glover was an American martial artist. He was Bruce Lee's first student and first assistant instructor in the United States. He met Lee in 1959,as they both attended Edison Technical College and practiced judo with Lee. Glover was a psychology major and a champion judoka. The character Jerome Sprout in the 1993 film Dragon:The Bruce Lee Story was based on Glover.
