Luca Scanlon (born 13 July 2009) is a Gibraltarian footballer who currently plays as a midfielder or forward for Burnley and the Gibraltar national football team.
Scanlon began his youth career with Nottingham Forest, before moving to Manchester United in 2021 after his brother James signed for the Red Devils. March 2025, he left the club and joined the academy of Burnley. [1] He made his under-21s debut for the Clarets that same season in the Lancashire Senior Cup final. [2]
Eligible for England and Gibraltar, Scanlon was first called up to the Gibraltar senior team in September 2025 for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Faroe Islands. He made his debut, at the age of 16 years and 57 days, as a substitute during the game, replacing his brother in the 82nd minute. [3]
