Burnley F.C. Academy are the youth teams of Burnley Football Club. The under-21s currently play in the second level of reserve football in England, the under-21 Professional Development League. The team mainly consists of players under the age of 21 at the club, but does occasionally include first team players. Burnley's under-18s currently play in the second level of academy football in England, the U18 Professional Development League.

Burnley Football Club is an English association football club based in Burnley, Lancashire, that competes in the Premier League, the first tier of English football. Founded on 18 May 1882, the club was one of the first to become professional and subsequently put pressure on the Football Association to permit payments to players. The club entered the FA Cup for the first time in 1885–86 and was one of the 12 founder members of the Football League in 1888–89. From the 1950s until the 1970s, under chairman Bob Lord, the club became renowned for its youth policy and scouting system, and was one of the first to set up a purpose-built training ground.

Francis Stanley Ternent is an English former footballer and manager. He managed Blackpool, Hull City, Bury, Burnley, Gillingham and Huddersfield Town. He was a scout for Hull City until January 2017. As a manager, he won three promotions between 1996 and 2000, including two in succession with Bury. The other came with Burnley in 1999–2000.

Chelsea F.C. Development Squad are the development team of Chelsea Football Club. They play in the Premier League 2, which is the top level of reserve football in England. They were the champions in the 2013–14 and 2019–20 seasons.
