Luciana Pezzoni (born 31 October 1928) is an Italian former gymnast. [1] She competed in the women's artistic team all-around at the 1948 Summer Olympics. [2]
Water polo has been part of the Summer Olympics program since the second games, in 1900. A women's water polo tournament was introduced for the 2000 Summer Olympics. Hungary has been the most successful country in men's tournament, while the United States is the only team to win multiple times at the women's tournament since its introduction. Italy is the first and only country to win both the men's and women's water polo tournaments.

Luciana Alvarado Reid is a Costa Rican artistic gymnast who represented her country at the 2019 World Championships and the 2019 Pan American Games. She took the silver medal in the all-around at the 2021 Pan American Championships, earning a continental berth for the 2020 Summer Olympics, and also became the Pan American champion on the balance beam. She is the first Costa Rican gymnast to qualify for the Olympics.
