Luigi Sturzo Institute was founded in 1951 by Luigi Sturzo [1] of the Partito Popolare (Italian Popular Party). The mission of The Luigi Sturzo Institute [2] is to endorse research in the historical sciences, sociology, political and economical fields by providing vast documentation in the archive library, facilitate canvassers, issue publications and maintain various alliances with other national and international institutes.

Located in Palazzo Baldassini, the institute’s remarkable building was constructed by architect Antonio da Sangallo il Giovane [3] in 1515. The interior walls are decorated with frescos from various artists including several who attended La Scuola di Raffaelo.

Within the edifice, the institute organizes and preserves archives containing documentation specified around the validation of the Roman Catholic Movement. In the library, other documentation is assembled, more specifically around the social sciences as well as modern and contemporary history.

Ongoing research in the institute extends to the fields of psychology, politics, history, jurisprudence and economics. The conducted research is integrated with seminars organized by the institute to share the new information and provide information in areas of interest.

The formation sector provides courses for graduates that teach the work specifics of several jobs in the cultural organization career based on the common European model.

The diffusion and verifications of scientific results are dispersed predominantly by our publications, one of which is our journal, Sociologia, [4] published every four months, which discusses historical and social sciences.

The institute develops numerous of its activities in collaboration with other national and international institutes.

Luigi Sturzo

Luigi Sturzo was an Italian Roman Catholic priest and prominent politician. He was known in his lifetime as a "clerical socialist" and is considered one of the fathers of the Christian democratic platform. He was also the founder of the Luigi Sturzo Institute in 1951. Sturzo was one of the founders of the Italian People's Party in 1919, but was forced into exile in 1924 with the rise of Italian fascism, and later the post-war Christian Democrats. In exile in London he published over 400 articles critical of fascism.

Barcelona Centre for International Affairs

CIDOB, acronym for Barcelona Centre for International Affairs, is a Spanish think-tank based in Barcelona and dedicated to researching and sharing the contents different areas of international relations and development studies. It defines itself as "an independent, non-partisan centre that contributes to ongoing international debates from the perspective of a major Mediterranean metropolis". Legally speaking, CIDOB is a public foundation with a board of trustees that includes among its members the main political institutions and universities of Catalonia and Barcelona, in addition to a number of ministries of the Spanish government. CIDOB is currently the oldest think-tank in Spain, and one of the most influential in its field. It is also a parent institution of the prestigious Institut Barcelona d'Estudis Internacionals (IBEI).

Museo Galileo

Museo Galileo, the former Istituto e Museo di Storia della Scienza is located in Florence, Italy, in Piazza dei Giudici, along the River Arno and close to the Uffizi Gallery. The museum, dedicated to astronomer and scientist Galileo Galilei, is housed in Palazzo Castellani, an 11th-century building which was then known as the Castello d’Altafronte. Museo Galileo owns one of the world's major collection of scientific instruments, which bears evidence of the role that the Medici and Lorraine Grand Dukes attached to science and scientists. The Museo di Storia della Scienza re-opened to the public under the new name Museo Galileo on June 10, 2010, after a two-year closure due to redesigning and renovation works. Library and information science (LIS) or "library and information studies" is a merging of library science and information science. European University Institute teaching and research institute

The European University Institute (EUI) is an international postgraduate and post-doctoral teaching and research institute established by European Union member states to contribute to cultural and scientific development in the social sciences, in a European perspective. EUI is designated as an international organisation. It is located in the hills above Florence, Italy. In 2021, EUI's School of Transnational Governance, with its flagship graduate and executive program, will move to the Casino Mediceo di San Marco, which is a late-Renaissance or Mannerist style palace in the historic center of Florence.

The National Social Science Documentation Centre (NASSDOC), a constituent unit of the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), was established in 1969. The objective of the NASSDOC is to provide library and information support services to social science researchers.

German National Library of Economics

The German National Library of Economics is the world's largest research infrastructure for economic literature, online as well as offline. The ZBW is a member of the Leibniz Association and has been a foundation under public law since 2007. Several times the ZBW received the international LIBER Award for its innovative work in librarianship. The Foundation for Religious Sciences John XXIII is a research institution at Bologna presided by Valerio Onida and directed by Alberto Melloni, which publishes, shapes, serves, organizes, receives and communicates research within religious sciences with a particular view to Christianity and other religions with which it has come in contact.

Documentation science is the study of the recording and retrieval of information. Documentation science gradually developed into the broader field of information science.

Wilfried Martens Centre for European Studies

The Wilfried Martens Centre for European Studies is the 11th political party-affiliated think tank worldwide and the official think tank of the European People's Party. Its mission is to offer decision makers and opinion leaders assistance in formulating new and effective policy options, as well as to put forward new ideas and provide a forum where they can be debated. The centre's goals are to have policy impact through concrete policy proposals, to shape European public opinion, and to be the key platform of cooperation for centre-right partners and experts. Currently, the president of the Martens Centre is former Slovak prime minister Mikuláš Dzurinda, who succeeded the centre's founder Wilfried Martens in 2013.

ETH Library is the largest public scientific and technical library in Switzerland. It serves as a central university library for ETH Zurich and a national centre for scientific and technical information. Besides providing information for members of ETH Zurich, it also offers resources for the interested public and companies from research and development. Its main focuses are electronic information services for university members and the development of innovative services.
