Luis Hasa (born 6 January 2004) is an Italian professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder for Serie A club Napoli.
Hasa represented Italy national team at youth levels. He was part of Italy's squad at the 2023 UEFA European Under-19 Championship, and was named Player of the Tournament.
Hasa was born in Sora, Lazio, in the province of Frosinone, to Albanian parents, Arbeni and Naiada Hasa. [4] His eldest brother, Alessio, started playing football next to the pitch at San Domenico Savio, where he also went as soon as he started taking his first steps. [4]
Due to his parents' heritage, he also has Albanian citizenship. [5]
His talent was discovered at the age of seven, in a training session with the Pulcini of San Domenico Savio, a team that has its home in Asti, [6] by football scout Marko Burbelo. [4] Burbelo contacted Juventus directly, which led Hasa to joining the Juventus youth system. [4]
Hasa has played for Juventus at various youth levels. In the 2021–22 Campionato Primavera 1 season, he played for Juventus U19 and has made 14 appearances and scored two goals. In the following season, he scored seven goals in 29 appearances. [2]
On 17 December 2022, he was included in the Juventus Next Gen squad in the match against Virtus Verona in the 2022–23 Serie C season, but did not make it onto the pitch. [2]
On 12 August 2023, he was brought in by Massimiliano Allegri to join the Juventus first-team in a pre-season friendly in a 0–0 draw against Atalanta. He entered the field as a substitute in the second half. [7]
On 30 August 2024, Hasa signed with Serie A club Lecce. [8] He made one Coppa Italia appearance for Lecce during his time with the club.
Hasa is eligible to play for his country of birth, Italy, and Albania, as both his parents are Albanian. [4]
He is a youth international for Italy. [4]
In June 2023, he was included in the Italy under-19 squad for the 2023 UEFA European Under-19 Championship in Malta, [10] where the Azzurrini eventually won their second continental title. [11] [12] He was named Player of the Tournament. [13] He scored a crucial equaliser in the final Group A game against Poland which took Italy through as runners-up. [13] In the final, Hasa created yet another goal with a pinpoint left-footed cross which Michael Kayode headed in for the game's key moment. [13]
