Ndola is the second largest city in Zambia in terms of infrastructural development and third in terms of size and population, with a population of 475,194, after the capital, Lusaka, and Kitwe. It is the industrial and commercial center of the Copperbelt, Zambia's copper-mining region, and capital of Copperbelt Province. It lies just 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) from the border with DR Congo. It is also home to Zambia's first modern stadium, the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium.

With the adjacent village of Zasavica I, it still forms a single cadastral unit, although they are treated as separate villages for census purposes.
The Luena River of Zambia's Western Province rises just west of the Kafue National Park and flows west through Kaoma to become a tributary of the Zambezi. In the dry season, just below its confluence with its seasonal tributary the Luampa River, it ends in swamps or marshes on the Luena Flats east of Lukulu. In the wet season the Luena Flats flood and overflow into the Ndandu channel or floodplain which leads south-west to the Barotse Floodplain of Zambezi north of Limulunga and Mongu. It is the widest 'tributary' floodplain of the Barotse Floodplain, reaching 20 km wide at its mouth.
Cape Fullerton is a cape and peninsula in the Kivalliq Region of Nunavut, Canada located on the northwest shores of Hudson Bay on Roes Welcome Sound and includes Fullerton Harbour. Today it is part of Ukkusiksalik National Park. Although Cape Fullerton was traditionally home to migrant Inuit people including the Aivilingmiut and the Qaernermiut, today the nearest permanently populated settlement is Chesterfield Inlet, roughly 100 kilometers to the southwest.
