Luz Adiela Alvarez Salazar (born February 20, 1987, in Valle del Cauca Department) is a female judoka from Colombia.

Alvarez is a member of Liga Vallecaucana de Judo [1] club and trains with world champion and Olympian Yuri Alvear. [2]

Judo

She is a member of Colombian national judo squad in extra-lightweight category and is a medal winner from continental games and championships.

He was killed in action by the Colombian Army after a military operation on 25 October 2007. Colombian authorities wanted him on charges of rebellion, extortion, terrorism, first degree murder, armed assault, assault and battery and kidnapping among others. Defense Minister Juan Manuel Santos described his death as the "most important" blow against FARC in 2007.

The Álvarez incest case was uncovered late March 2009 when 59-year-old Arcedio Álvarez was arrested in Mariquita, Colombia, accused of imprisoning and sexually abusing his daughter Alba Nidia Álvarez over a period of 25 years, beginning from when she was nine years old. The daughter also gave birth to 14 children, six of whom died due to lack of medical care.
