MG2 (formerly MulvannyG2 Architecture) is an architecture firm based in Seattle, Washington, United States. [1] MG2 is ranked among the 50 largest architectural firms and top two retail designers in the world. [2] The firm designs retail stores and centers, corporate offices and interiors, and mixed-use destinations for clients and brands of global significance. Clients include seven of the top 20 Fortune 100 retailers.
Founded in 1971, the firm employs over 400 in six offices located in: Seattle, Washington; Irvine, California; Washington, D.C.; New York City, NY; Minneapolis, MN; and Shanghai, China. Since 2015, it has been led by CEO and chairman Mitch Smith and president Russ Hazzard. As of 2013, MG2 is the third-largest architecture firm in the Puget Sound region by annual revenue, behind Callison and NBBJ. [3]
In May 2015, the firm changed its name to MG2 and moved its headquarters from Bellevue, Washington to 1101 Second Avenue in Downtown Seattle. [4] [5]

Hyatt Regency Seattle, also known as 808 Howell Street and 8th & Howell, is a high-rise hotel in the Denny Triangle neighborhood of Seattle, Washington, United States that opened in December 2018. The 45-story hotel, operated by Hyatt, has 1,260 hotel rooms and is the largest in the city. It also has 103,000 square feet (9,600 m2) of meeting and event space, as well as two ballrooms and a lounge.

Day 1, also known as Amazon Tower II and Rufus 2.0 Block 19, is a 521-foot-tall (159 m) office building in the Denny Triangle neighborhood of Seattle, Washington, located at the intersection of Lenora Street and 7th Avenue. It is part of the three-tower complex that serves as the headquarters of Amazon. The name "Day 1" previously belonged to two buildings on Amazon's South Lake Union campus, but both structures have since been renamed. The building's east facade features a large sign reading "Hello World". The construction project was the most expensive in the city to finish in 2016 amidst the recent downtown housing boom.
4/C, also known as 4th & Columbia, is a proposed supertall skyscraper in Seattle, Washington, United States. If built, the 1,020-foot-tall (310 m), 91-story tower would be the tallest in Seattle, surpassing the neighboring Columbia Center, and the first supertall in the Pacific Northwest. The project has been under development by Miami-based Crescent Heights since 2015 and undergone several design changes and modifications under three architecture firms. As of 2023, 4/C is expected to have 1,090 residential units—apartments up to the 64th floor and condominiums from the 65th to 90th floor—along with several coworking and retail spaces. The latest version was designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill.
The Historic Chinatown Gate is a modern Paifang archway in the Chinatown-International District neighborhood of Seattle, Washington.
Arrivé is a 440-foot (130 m), 41-story skyscraper in the Belltown neighborhood of Seattle, Washington. The $190 million project, originally named Potala Tower after the Potala Palace in Tibet, was designed by Weber Thompson and consists of 342 apartments and a 142-room hotel. It was financed partially by Chinese nationals through the EB-5 visa program and began construction in April 2015.
The Spring District is a transit-oriented development and neighborhood that is under construction in Bellevue, Washington. The 16-block, 36-acre (15 ha) development is centered around the Spring District/120th station on the East Link Extension, a light rail line scheduled to open in 2023. It is located in the Bel-Red area between Downtown Bellevue and Redmond, currently used for light industry, roughly bounded on the west by 120th Avenue NE and the Eastside Rail Corridor rail trail, on the north by a King County Metro bus base, on the east by 124th Avenue NE, and on the south by NE 12th Street.
Qualtrics Tower, formerly known as 2+U and 2&U, is a high-rise office building in Downtown Seattle, Washington. The 500-foot-tall (150 m), 38-story tower is located at 2nd Avenue and University Street and was completed in 2020. The building has 725,000 square feet (67,400 m2) of leasable space, including retail and public spaces on the lower levels. The largest office tenant is Qualtrics, who also hold the naming rights to the building.
re:Invent is a 37-story high-rise office building on the Amazon headquarters campus in Seattle, Washington, United States. It opened in 2019 and houses 5,000 employees as one of three major high-rise towers on Amazon's campus in the Denny Triangle neighborhood north of Downtown Seattle.
Bellevue 600 is a future high-rise office building developed by Amazon in Bellevue, Washington, United States. It began construction in 2021 and is scheduled to be completed in 2024. The 43-story, 600-foot-tall (180 m) building would join 555 Tower as the tallest building in Bellevue. The project is located in Downtown Bellevue at the intersection of Northeast 6th Street and 110th Avenue Northeast, adjacent to the Bellevue Transit Center and a future Link light rail station. A second phase would construct a 27-story tower to the west, replacing an existing office building.
Julia Nagele is a designer and educator. She serves as the director of design and a senior principal at HEWITT, a Seattle-based architecture firm. Julia is an affiliate assistant professor at the University of Washington in the architecture department. Known for her work designing skyscrapers, three of Julia's recent towers can be found on the list of tallest buildings designed by women.
