Misshapen-like kinase 1 is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the MINK1 gene. [5] [6] [7]
Misshapen-like kinase 1 is a serine/threonine kinase belonging to the germinal center kinase (GCK) family. The protein is structurally similar to the kinases that are related to NIK and may belong to a distinct subfamily of NIK-related kinases within the GCK family. Studies of the mouse homolog indicate an up-regulation of expression in the course of postnatal mouse cerebral development and activation of the cJun N-terminal kinase (JNK) and the p38 pathways. Alternative splicing occurs at this locus and four transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been identified. [7]

Serine/threonine protein kinase MST4, also known as mammalian STE20-like protein kinase 4 (MST-4), is a protein that in humans is encoded by the MST4 gene.
SNF-related serine/threonine-protein kinase is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the SNRK gene.
MAP kinase-activated protein kinase 5 is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the MAPKAPK5 gene. The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the serine/threonine kinase family. In response to cellular stress and proinflammatory cytokines, this kinase is activated through its phosphorylation by MAP kinases, including MAPK1/ERK, MAPK14/p38-alpha, and MAPK11/p38-beta. In vitro, this kinase phosphorylates heat shock protein HSP27 at its physiologically relevant sites. Two alternately-spliced transcript variants of this gene encoding distinct isoforms have been reported.

NUAK family SNF1-like kinase 2 also known as SNF1/AMP kinase-related kinase (SNARK) is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the NUAK2 gene. It's deficiency in humans causes anencephaly, a severe form of anterior neural tube defect that curtails brain development.
