Jamuna Nippani was an Indian actress, director, and politician who appeared mainly in Telugu films. She made her acting debut at age 16 in Dr. Garikapati Rajarao's Puttillu (1953), and received her breakthrough with L. V. Prasad'sMissamma (1955). Her filmography also includes Tamil, Kannada, and Hindi films. She won a Filmfare Award and an award at Filmfare Awards South. She was a member of parliament in the 9th Lok Sabha (1989–1991) representing the Rajahmundry constituency.
Thirudathe is a 1961 Indian Tamil-language drama film directed by P. Neelakantan. A remake of the Hindi film Pocket Maar (1956), it stars M. G. Ramachandran, B. Saroja Devi and M. N. Nambiar. The film was released on 23 March 1961, and ran for 100 days in theatres. It was remade in Kannada as Manassakshi (1968).

Yashoda Krishna is a 1975 Indian Telugu-language film, directed by C. S. Rao. Baby Sridevi and Baby Rohini acted as Bala Krishna and Ramakrishna as Lord Krishna, which also marked actress Rohini Molleti's on-screen debut as a child artiste. Jamuna as Yashoda and S. V. Ranga Rao as Kamsa. The film was later dubbed into Kannada of the same name. The film is also remembered for the final appearance of the great actor, S. V. Rangarao, as his previous last Tamil film Sivakamiyin Selvan (1974) got released a couple of months earlier.

The film revolves around the efforts taken by Lakshmi (Jamuna) to maintain prosperity in her husband's (Krishna) house. Undamma Bottu Pedata was released on 28 September 1968, and became an average success.

The film stars veteran actors Rajkumar and Ambareesh in lead roles, along with Madhavi, Srishanti, Vajramuni and K. S. Ashwath in supporting roles. The film revolves around the two farmer brothers who undergo many traumas in their relationships due to the external forces and fight them to reunite again.
Baala Bandhana is a 1971 Indian Kannada language romantic drama film, directed by Peketi Sivaram. It stars Rajkumar and Jayanthi. It was produced under ALS Productions. It had a very successful soundtrack composed by G. K. Venkatesh. The film was a remake of 1953 Bengali film Jog Biyog which was based on the novel of same name by Ashapurna Devi. Though a hit, it could not meet the success of the Tamil and Telugu remake versions of the same Bengali movie.

Irulum Oliyum is a 1971 Indian Tamil-language romantic drama film, directed and co-written by Puttanna Kanagal. A remake of Kanagal's own Kannada film Kappu Bilupu (1969), itself based on a novel by Aryammba Pattabi, it stars Vanisri in dual roles with A. V. M. Rajan and R. Muthuraman. It was again remade by the same director in telugu as Iddaru Ammayilu with Vanisri reprising her role. The film revolves around two lookalike cousin sisters who switch places for a few days to escape from their respective problems. It was released on 10 September 1971 and became a commercial success.
Bhakta Markandeya is an Indian Hindu mythological film shot simultaneously in Tamil and Kannada languages by B. S. Ranga with a different supporting cast in each of the versions. Master Anand played the titular role of Markandeya in both the versions. The film was released in 1957.
