Maarof bin Mat Rashad is one of the four territorial chiefs (Undang Yang Empat) in Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia. He was appointed as the 17th Undang of Jelebu in 2018. [1] [2]
He was born on 21 August 1957 in Jelebu, Negeri Sembilan. He is fifth out of six siblings.
He got his education at Maktab Perguruan Raja Melewar, Seremban. Then, he furthered his studies at Open University Malaysia (OUM).
He is a former teacher and a former education officer at Pejabat Pendidikan Daerah Jelebu (Jelebu District Education Office).

Negeri Sembilan, historically spelled as Negri Sembilan, is a state in Malaysia which lies on the western coast of Peninsular Malaysia. It borders Selangor on the north, Pahang in the east, and Malacca and Johor to the south.
His Grace the Undang Yang Empat of Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia are the ruling chiefs or territorial chiefs who play an important role in the election of a new Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia. The name is believed to be derived from the Malay word undang-undang meaning "law".
Tuanku Ja’afar ibni Almarhum Tuanku Abdul Rahman was Yang Di-Pertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan from 1967 until his death in 2008, and the tenth Yang di-Pertuan Agong, from 1994 to 1999.

Tunku Dato' Seri Utama Naquiyuddin ibni Almarhum Tuanku Ja'afar is a member of Negeri Sembilan royal family who is the Tunku Laxamana. He is the eldest son of Tuanku Jaafar ibni Almarhum Tuanku Abdul Rahman, the tenth Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan, who was also the tenth Yang di-Pertuan Agong. He is a member of the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO), a component party of the BN coalition. He has also served as the State Chairman of UMNO of Negeri Sembilan since March 2023.

Bukit Putus is a mountain pass situated on the boundary between Seremban dan Kuala Pilah Districts in the Malaysian state of Negeri Sembilan, sandwiched between the Telapak Buruk-Berembun massif and Mount Angsi of the Negri Titiwangsa. The mountain pass connects the Seremban suburb of Paroi in the west with Ulu Bendul in the east. It is one of the three principal passes that link western and eastern Negeri Sembilan, the other two being Bukit Tangga (Seremban–Jelebu) and Bukit Miku.
