The 2009–10 TFF First League is the 47th season of the second-level football league of Turkey since its establishment in 1963–64.
Mersin İdmanyurdu Sports Club; located in Mersin, east Mediterranean coast of Turkey in 1978–79. Mersin İdmanyurdu had relegated from First League in 1977–78 season. It was the second relegation of the team after 2 seasons appearances in first league. Mersin appointed coach Octavian Popescu. The 1978–79 season was the 7th season of Mersin İdmanyurdu (MİY) football team in Second League, the second level division in Turkey. They finished 6th in the Red Group.
Mersin İdmanyurdu Sports Club; located in Mersin, east Mediterranean coast of Turkey in 1981–82. At the end of 1981–82 season Mersin İdmanyurdu has promoted to First League for the fourth time. The 1981–82 was the eighth season of Mersin İdmanyurdu (MİY) football team in Second League, the second level division in Turkey. They finished 1st in Group C.
The 2013 UEFA European Under-19 Championship elite round is the second round of qualification for the 2013 UEFA European Under-19 Championship final tournament. The 25 teams that advanced from the first qualification round, plus three teams that received byes to the elite round, were distributed into seven groups of four teams, with one of the teams hosting all six group matches in a round-robin format. The seven group-winning teams will qualify automatically for the final tournament.
The 2014 UEFA European Under-17 Championship qualifying round was the first round of qualification for the final tournament of the 2014 UEFA European Under-17 Championship in Malta. Fifty-two teams entering in this round were drawn into 13 groups of four teams, where they played each other in a single round-robin mini-tournament hosted by one of the group's teams. The 13 group winners, 13 group runners-up and the best third-placed team advanced to the elite round, the second round of qualification.

Football at the 2013 Mediterranean Games took place between 19 and 27 June. The tournament was held at the Tevfik Sırrı Gür Stadium, and Tarsus City Stadium. The final was held at the Tevfik Sırrı Gür Stadium on 27 June. Associations affiliated with FIFA were invited to send their men's U-19 national teams. There was no women's tournament on this occasion.
