Machi Esports was a professional esports organization founded by Taiwanese hip hop group Machi. Machi previously had a League of Legends team competing in the League of Legends Master Series (LMS) and later the Pacific Championship Series (PCS), as well as an academy team competing in the Elite Challenger Series (ECS) named MachiX. [1]
Machi sold its spot in the LMS to Alpha Esports in late 2018. [2]
It was announced on 18 February 2020 that Machi would be one of the ten franchise partners of the PCS, the successor to the LMS, after G-Rex forfeited its spot and disbanded. [3]

The League of Legends World Championship is the annual professional League of Legends world championship tournament hosted by Riot Games and is the culmination of each season. The League of Legends Master Series (LMS) was a professional League of Legends league with teams from Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau from 2015 to 2019. Eight teams competed over two seasons to qualify for the League of Legends World Championship. In September 2019, Riot announced that the LMS would merge with the League of Legends SEA Tour (LST) to create a new professional league for all Garena-affiliated regions except Vietnam, the Pacific Championship Series (PCS).

Their League of Legends team participates in the Pacific Championship Series, the highest level of professional League of Legends in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, and Southeast Asia. J Team was founded in April 2016 by Jay Chou after he purchased the LMS spot of the League of Legends team Taipei Assassins (TPA) from Garena, which had won the Season 2 World Championship in 2012.
The League of Legends SEA Tour (LST) was a professional League of Legends esports tournament in Southeast Asia that was founded in 2018 by Garena as a replacement for the Garena Premier League (GPL). The competition consisted of teams who qualified through the LST qualifiers of each minor region: Indonesia–Malaysia–Singapore, Philippines, and Thailand.
