Deep Cross Gaming (DCG) is a Taiwanese professional League of Legends team competing in the Pacific Championship Series (PCS). It is sponsored by the computer peripherals company Logitech.

History

Founding

Deep Cross Gaming (DCG) was founded on 20 January 2022; it acquired a spot in the Pacific Championship Series a week later on 27 January. [1] [2] [3] The team's inaugural roster consisted of three former J Team players jungler Chen "Hana" Chih-hao, mid laner Hsu "Nestea" Bao-yuan, and support Lin "Woody" Hung-yu as well as top laner Chang "Leaky" Tsu-chia, who had then most recently played for ahq eSports Club, and rookie bot laner Chang "Cryscata" Che-lin.

2022 season

DCG finished fourth in the spring regular season after losing to fellow newcomers CTBC Flying Oyster in a tiebreaker match, qualifying DCG for the first round of playoffs in the winners' bracket. After defeating fifth-place Beyond Gaming in the first round, DCG were swept by defending champions PSG Talon in the second round and knocked down to the second round of the losers' bracket. Despite a convincing sweep of another newcomer team Frank Esports, DCG's playoff run ended in the third round of the losers' bracket, where they were defeated by J Team.

The Pacific Championship Series (PCS) is a professional esports league for League of Legends teams competing in the Asia-Pacific. Riot Games, the game's developer, created the league in 2019. This followed an announcement by Garena – the game's distributor in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, and Southeast Asia – that it planned to merge the League of Legends Master Series (LMS) and League of Legends SEA Tour (LST) into a single tournament jointly run with Riot Games.

The League of Legends team of Talon is based in Taipei, Taiwan, and competes in the League of Legends Championship Pacific (LCP), the top-level league for the video game in the Asia-Pacific. From 18 June 2020 to 5 January 2025, the team was partnered with PSG Esports and known as PSG Talon. Xue announced the team's disbandment in 2024, citing the deterioration of his mental health due to the team's inability to find sponsors amid rising operational costs.

The 2023 PCS season was the fourth year of the Pacific Championship Series (PCS), a professional esports league for the MOBA PC game League of Legends. It was the first to include teams from the League of Legends Circuit Oceania.

The League of Legends Championship Pacific (LCP) is an upcoming professional esports league for League of Legends teams competing in the Asia-Pacific region. Riot Games, the game's developer, and tournament organizer Carry International created the league on 29 September 2024. This followed an announcement in June by Riot in which they planned to form a single tournament to replace the Pacific Championship Series (PCS) and Vietnam Championship Series (VCS) as a tier-one league. Both leagues, alongside the League of Legends Japan League (LJL), which was integrated into the PCS for the 2024 season, became tier-two leagues.
