Macklin Robinson (born April 2, 1994) is an American professional soccer player who plays as a goalkeeper for AC Syracuse Pulse.
Robinson played two years of college soccer at Ohio Dominican University between 2012 and 2013, [1] before transferring to DePaul University, where he played in 2014 and 2015. [2]
On April 27, 2016, Robinson signed with North American Soccer League side Carolina RailHawks. [3] Now known as North Carolina FC, he played two years with notable performances against, Swansea City, at the time an English Premier League team, [4] and eventual NASL champions the San Francisco Deltas. [5]
Robinson was loaned to United Soccer League club Pittsburgh Riverhounds on June 30, 2017. [6]
On 6 February 2019, Robinson signed with the Tampa Bay Rowdies of the USL Championship. [7] His Rowdies team would eventually go on to win the USL Eastern conference title and become Co-USL-Champions during the 2020 Covid Pandemic. [8]
On 24 March 2022, Robinson signed with a new expansion team based in Syracuse, New York, AC Syracuse Pulse. [9]
The Tampa Bay Rowdies are an American professional soccer team based in St. Petersburg, Florida. The club was founded in 2008 and first took the pitch in 2010. Since 2017, the Rowdies have been members of the USL Championship in the second tier of the American soccer pyramid. They formerly played in USSF Division 2 and the North American Soccer League (NASL), which were also second-tier leagues. The Rowdies play their home games at Al Lang Stadium on St. Petersburg's downtown waterfront.

He started and operated the Pittsburgh Riverhounds Goalkeeper Academy from 2010 to 2021. He also had collegiate coaching stops at Carnegie Mellon University and the University of Pittsburgh. Gilstrap worked with US Youth National Teams in 2017. After moving on from pro coaching, he started the GK4FREE Podcast. Gilstrap then went on to start and found Pro Player Goalkeeping. Gilstrap has been married since 2015 to Kelly Gilstrap.
