Madeleine Zimmermann is a retired Swiss slalom canoeist who competed from the early 1950s to the late 1960s. She won a bronze medal in the folding K-1 team event at the 1951 ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships in Steyr. [1]

Canoeing competitions at the 2015 Pan American Games surrounding Toronto are held in two main disciplines: the sprint, from 11 to 14 July and the slalom, from 18 to 19 July. The slalom competition will be held at the Minden Wild Water Preserve in Minden Hills. The sprint events were staged at the Welland Pan Am Flatwater Centre in Welland.

Joseph Clarke, is a British slalom canoeist who has competed at the international level since 2009, specializing in the K1 event. He is the 2016 Olympic champion in the K1 event and has won medals in team events at World and European Championships.

Canoeing at the 2014 Asian Games was held in Hanam Misari Canoe/Kayak Center, Hanam, South Korea from September 27 to October 2, 2014. There were sprints and a slalom on flat water and not an artificial canoe slalom course.
